Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.

One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.

And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.

I may or may not just be mad projecting at this point, but I was so pissed when my mom bought a book and it arrived in our mail... and rather than it be anything actually interesting... it was slop. PURE CORPORATE SLOP. Not only was it themed around stuff I did not give a damn about, but all of the imagery was either stock lineart or AI-generated garbage. It wasn't even well-hidden in the slightest... most of the content had that overly generic "chibi" look to it, there were plenty of glaring artistic errors, and everything just had that gross feel to it that's hard to exactly describe and point out. You know what's even worse? The book in question was used on a web tutorial on how to design book pages and send them in to virtual book publishing companies. Why in the actual FUCK would you make a tutorial on something so artistic in nature when you're not going to put in any effort or passion and piggyback off other people's successes while you're at it!? It's almost like you aren't doing it for the art and only care about having money in your pockets! Overall, it was a very 0/10 book, would not recommend even as coloring practice material. PLEASE keep this kind of shit out of physical media.
