May 2nd

- I took a Mental Health Day form work and spent it with a friend who going through a tough time. Only to realize I truly need a MH day

-#Bthekid had a super hard day she was exploding left and right...she had a field trip to one of the local colleges but by 1030am I had a voicemail from the teachers🤦🏾‍♀️ saying thte key words disrespectful/refusing.

-she attempted to justify her bxs by stating that she just doesn’t like adults and so they shouldn’t try to tell her what to do...smh I was speechless

-she continued the struggle at her afer school program to the point of where she was at risk of being suspended from it! Crazy part she freaking loves this program.

-I saw it happening I think she saw it happening but I don’t believe she could stop herself she literally kept digging herself into a deeper hole...she was upset with herself she came home laid across her bed and fell asleep.

- I used a lot of compassion as I knew today was already tough but I also know that she is going on day 5 without her meds...which the team agreed on.

- I struggled with rescuing her by letting others know about the medication change...

Respite 4/29

This week has been sooo tough...well these last three weeks have been so tough! It’s been a straight hellish rollercoaster with no end...ugh I described the kid once as Jekyll and Hyde...and this weekend she was J&H al the way...I don’t know how to get her to see how her choices are truly effecting her...I sent her to actual respite and to be honest it hurt!!! I mean yes I needed the break but the whole idea of respite in a complete strangers home is,(at that time I thought) counterproductive. But I needed it more than anything I was about to snap on the kid. Though ,even in my anger I knew I could not lose it on the kid no matter how much she wanted me to. I could see that she wants me to be just like the others, so that she can justify her horrible attitude and disrespect...I will not do it.

Sooo what did I learn from these last few weeks ?

1. I am going to have to give her less stuff for Just because and make her earn it .

2. Consequences and more consequences with loads of love (total oxymoron to a teen)

3. The true meaning of “it’s going to hurt me more than it hurts you”

4. That I need to help her understand my role in her life to breakdown her beliefs that we are equals.

5. That she won’t be going to LA nor FL in May...which sucks so bad!

6. I am going to have to advocate for her to have the support she needs as she works on figuring out how to regulate her emotions.

7. I need to be more stunt with her.

With a Teenager everything seems like a pop quiz!

So about today

Today was really hard I was called a petty bitch by the #Bthekid found out that the visit with her friend last week was actually a failed smoke session and that she has weed hidden in my house somewhere...and she is completely incapable of grasping the seriousness of her actions nor accept responsibility for them🤦🏾‍♀️😢 is it ok to cry a bit?

I’m soooo upset with #Bthekid😡😡

I don’t think I can do this....someone please help me

We NEED to get Net Neutrality trending again.

This is enough. Ajit Pai has already succeded MULTIPLE TIMES and you can expect the full removal of net neutrality on APRIL 23RD OF THIS YEAR. We can still contact our senators, we can still fight as hrd as we can, but even though 23 states are suposedly suing for the repeal of this, we need to help it along.

In case people forgot what Net Neutrality is: it is a series of laws that ensure everyone free and fair access to the internet. Without them, you will be charged for the sites you use on top of an already high internet bill. This means creators like us cannot post and be seen. Thia means that smaller schools will havebto switch to out of date text books. This means that starter IT projects that could make our lives better will die because noone can support an online presence that noone can afford to see.

And the list goes on and on and on. I have frienda who have to make their livings through commissions and working online because of multiple health issues. I have friends trying to publish books, post art, post voice acting snippets that will not be seen without these laws.

Please support Net Neutrality and contact your senators!!! This is so important to everyone you know, AND WE JUST NEED ONE SENATOR TO TURN THE TIDE!!!
