It’s gonna be okay. Yeah? Yeah.
When I was a baby, I actually crawled backwards. You know, I’d push with my hands like this. Beep. Beep. Always in reverse, you know? Come on, it makes sense. You push to move, right? Well, it did to my tiny Harrington brain. That is, until I reversed my baby butt down a flight of stairs and thumped my head really good.
I think, like, right out of the gate, like, I’m super confident. But I’m also, like, an idiot. Which is just…I mean, it’s a brutal combination. But, I mean, the good news is, I get a big enough thump on my head, I can change, you know? I can learn. I can crawl forward.

on every single level except physical, i am troy bolton yelling about his feelings in an empty high school
I love that Love and Thunder completely ignored toxic masculinity and acknowledged that Thor was dealing with some really heavy shit and that it’s okay for men to admit to/release their emotions, that it’s okay for them to be broken and lost because anyone would feel that. Just one of the reasons this movie was an absolute gem.

i get that when it comes to media pretty much everything is subjective like to each their own but if you don’t like thor love and thunder we will be settling our differences with a duel
another thing worth noting in Thor: Love & Thunder

is Taika’s love and respect for children coming through in the movie!! The scene with all of the children absorbing some of Thor’s powers and fighting the monsters was so beautiful. If anyone has seen Taika’s other works, this just makes so much sense. From his first movie Boy, to Hunt for the Wilderpeople, to his big hit with Jojo Rabbit, Taika has always and probably will always write children as beings with great nuance, creativity, and agency. He has a really magical way of capturing childhood as an experience, on so many different levels and for different kinds of kids. And so it’s only fitting to see him allow the kids in this movie to not just be props for Thor’s story, but to show that they have some fight in them too and can really be fierce and brave. Not only that, but they were fighting monsters that were created by Chris and Taika’s kids no less!! And they were so terrifying, this just goes to show that when you actually listen to children for one minute, when you see their imagination and creativity and wildness and say “there is something to this” you can actually create something beautiful— or, in this case, really damn terrifying!
A ballad of love ♥️⚡️
