@loudgothbitchyteenhamlet 😆 I think I was just lucky haha. At first I could only see the parents from afar because mama was sitting on her nest in a sheltered spot:

A minute later 8 fluff balls emerged from under mama's wings and plopped into the water, then they all swam towards the shore, almost like they wanted to be seen.

As you can see from this picture tho, there's a low wall seperating me from the swans, so maybe that's why they didn't feel as threatened. Also mama and papa swans have been in this area for a long time and they've always been chill.
