No you guys this post helped me find my cat. He was missing for almost a month and I’ve had him for over 12 years. After seeing this I put his favorite blanket he always slept on outside hoping he would smell mine or his scent and he was back the next fucking day asleep on it.

When my cat got out, we called and called for him, and then, later that night, I remembered similar advice to this, and so put his little scratching pad, which he adores, on the front porch. Not even half an hour later, I heard a thump, opened the door, and there was his big butt, meowing at me.

Ollie update:

After the radiologist reviewed Ollie’s xrays, they determined she would need an ultrasound to see her stomach more clearly to determine if there was an unknown object which was stuck.

We agreed to the ultrasound and hoped that it would give us some answers as we could tell Olive was super stressed and just as ready as we were for this to be done with.

When the Dr came back with the results he basically told us what we already knew. There is an object in her stomach, but it could just be “floating around” and not cause any harm. At this point we were VERY frustrated, wanting to come to some sort of conclusion.

So after a ridiculously priced ultrasound and total bill, we were no further than before. As of now, the plan is to keep her on pain medicine to keep her comfortable and antibiotics in the hopes that they will do the trick and clear things up. Fingers crossed she won’t need surgery.

Thank you to everyone who has shared and donated, Olive is doing okay, but she’s not in the clear yet.

Update on Olive, we’ve got good news and bad news... Good news is her temperature has gone back down to normal which is great, meaning the antibiotics are helping. Bad news is the radiologist evaluated her xrays and saw what looked like a foreign object in her stomach (possibly a hair-tie). =( We took her to the VCA hospital and they said she needs an ultrasound to get a clearer picture. If they can confirm there is something there they may be able to use a scope to retrieve it, but if not, she would need surgery before it creates a blockage in her intestines. It will be a few hours before we know more. If anyone who reads this update can please share and spread the word, I’d be very appreciative. Thanks so much. <3

Hey Tumblr Friends,

I know I don’t speak to many of you in person but I know what a close knit community tumblr is so I wanted to reach out. My kitten Olive has become sick and while my partner and I have taken her to the ER and vet multiple times, we’ve yet to determine a cause for her pain, lethargy, depression, and high fever.

She’s currently on antibiotics and pain meds and we’re doing everything we can to keep her comfortable while we try to determine what’s wrong.

If you can please share this I would greatly appreciate it and if you can donate I would be very grateful.
