Ever have one of those days?

The sort of day in which you listen to roughly five minutes of humans doing--allegedly human things and you’re entire mind switches into, “That’s enough mingling with the humans for one day,” mode.

It’s been one of those.

Some of you wouldn't know Ministry propaganda if it was clearly labeled and the person delivering it said, "Here, have some Ministry propaganda."

Here's a tip? If someone in authority says it, there's a 100% chance what you're hearing is, at best only 50% truth.

That latter number is usually lower, however.

Sometimes,  humans remind me of why I don’t care for most humans.

Examples:

"goblin is a “general name for evil and malicious spirits, usually small and grotesque in appearance”.

"Today, the term goblin encompasses any fairy with an injurious intent, such as Knockers, Phookas, Spriggans, Trolls or Trows. " That's--those are all entirely different beings.

"Goblin behaviour can range from mild pranks to acts of outright terror." I'm sure I have more moods than that.

"A goblin is seldom welcomed, even by its own kind." At this point I'm certain the author is just making things up.

"Goblins are certainly a menace in the home." ...what?

"They stand in for predatory corrupting males, using forbidden faerie fruits to lure female victims to their doom. " No. Just--every possible level of no. What we aren't going to do is blame the behaviour of your poorly bred, poorly trained human men on Goblins.

There are some words I tend to use in conversation with humans that I know don't speak or understand my language. I think "khamurr" is my favourite because it sounds so fuzzy and warm and the closest translation into English is jackass.

Some of us don’t bother to look up at humans while talking to them anyway.

If the desk isn’t taller than you are, chances are most of us won’t look at anything even remotely close to your face on purpose.
