witch hat atelier post #304567: the world building so far is excellent and it’s good in ways that show the author cared about the details!! When I first started reading and noticed the animals were different hybrid creatures I was 100% ready to be like “okay sick cool fantasy raven-dog thing” but wait!!!! There’s actually a really cool reason for the raven-dog thing that ties into the central conflicts and themes!!! I forgot you can do that!!!

obsessed with just how layered witch hat atelier is. From a technical standpoint, it’s so satisfying to see how naturally the characters progress and develop- even their magic builds on itself believably. There are so many details that become more impactful once you’ve read it once (especially anything to do with qifrey) and it’s so clear that there was a lot of care and intention put into every piece of the story. I’m just really excited that there’s such a rich story being platformed and shared and I can’t wait for more!!! (Don’t even get me started on the ethics. I love a story without a cut-and-dry “bad guy”)

i love pokemon champions but I am so god awful at it. So many people must play against me and think “surely this is a bot” and then I take 3-5 business days to pick my moves and they must know I’m a real live person. How does that make them feel I wonder. A real live person who is walking and talking and participating in the economy just tried to use fire spin on a gyrados.

everytime I’m having a picnic in pokemon violet and I see the button that lets you recall miraidon I get so unreasonably sad. why is that even an option. why can’t miraidon have picnic time with my other pokemon. if you recall miraidon I’m incredibly suspicious of you.

people talk about the ace attorney autopsy report a lot but like honestly imagine you are a defense attorney and you are going to court to prove the innocence of someone who you truly believe did not commit the crime and you’re nervous because this is a persons whole life you are dealing with but at least you have your evidence and at one point the witness says something that directly contradicts the autopsy report and you think ‘this is my chance!’ and the prosecutor objects because. You have. An old (????) autopsy report (???) and he has the UPDATED VERSION (???) and you think surely it’s only up from here but this is what the rest of your life and career looks like.

Reading Batman comics for the first time and I’m struck by how much creepier the early joker designs are, where there’s more emphasis on the “clown” aesthetic than sheer horror. Like yea the gritty scarred joker is scary, but it’s so much more sinister for him to look genuinely kinda goofy with normal human proportions- maybe the smile is a little too wide but not so much that’s it’s unrealistic. The joker should be first and foremost a foil to Batman and Batman is at his core human. Idk I think I’ll come back to this once I’ve done more reading but I think it’s kinda interesting.

I fear people are forgetting that tails is first and foremost a little brother, and as such has a potential for general tomfoolery that is not capitalized on. Tails would get annoyed and put a live creature in Sonic’s room and I know this because I am a little sibling and that is what we do.
