the tea is that the Grammy association cares more now about the popular vote/opinion and appeasing the general public than they care about praising artists for making good music and they’ve proved that time and time again. They’re obviously trying to appeal to the general public who want to see artists like cardi or post malone win AOTY, rather than artists who really did put albums worthy of that title or even nomination. It’s a popularity contest, not a music awards show and it’s gone down the drain. The Grammys now live in the sewers with the VMAs

the tea is that taylor didn’t release reputation with the hope of winning awards. she didn’t push this album like she did 1989. the whole design of reputation and the reputation era was that it SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, regardless of what anyone else says or thinks about it. sure it’s always nice to have your work recognized in that way, but reputation’s critical acclaim as well as its sales speak for itself. it has been a HIGHLY PRAISED and SUCCESSFUL album no printer just fax.
