This short was everything I wanted out of the Wachowski boys’ dynamic.

Sonic clearly becoming more responsible and less reckless due to having to look after Tails and Knuckles. Him being a good brother and leader, open to finding peaceful solutions to conflict.

Tails actually behaving like an 8 year old, being childish and scaredm but still trying to help despite his fears. He’s so excited to be included.

And Knuckles essentially becoming a mama’s boy who takes his errands very seriously, and emulates his brother. He retains his warrior-like mindset, but is starting to let loose and allowing himself to just be a kid.

I love that these characters are allowed to just, be kids. They’re not just heroes going on an adventure, they’re children going on an errand for their mom. The crew knows their audience very well.
