Also btw every single complaint about irish pronounciation and spelling in schools would be solved if we hammered in the slender/broad distinctions early because it would become abundantly clear why this 't' has to be surrounded by 'i's and it isn't just a thing they decided to do one day and more people would be able to spell words from just hewring them and pronounciation from just reading them send tweet

Here's a brief post about pronounciation i made. You can also go to the wikipedia page for irish phonology or listen to the audio files on Focloir.ie to try pick up in the nuances, especially effective with words that sound similar except for the slenderness. (Beo vs. Bó, Can vs. Ceann, etc.)

This cheat-sheet has a few parts on how to read Irish, and is very much aimed at a novice speaker looking for a comprehensive list of sounds in Irish

Wikipedia (as mentioned in the above post), is quite comprehensive, but requires working knowledge of the International Phonetic Alphabet to understand the meaning of some of the symbols (you'll pick a lot of it up just from looking at it though) - The first page is the phonology, which describes how to make the sounds of Irish. - The second is the orthography, which describes how to read and write those sounds

The final is what I would consider the diamond in the rough of Irish grammar. It's called Gramadach na Gaeilge, and is one of the most comprehensive online guides that you'll ever find. The main issue with it is that the English version has been roughly translated from German, so you'll either have to push past that or hope you can also learn a third language. Nevertheless, here are the pages on phonology and orthography. (You'll need IPA knowledge for this too)

Idk man it’s so easy to get bogged down in all the bullshit online but when my then-6 year old cousin found out I was trans he said “ok” then corrected my grandma when she misgendered me. I don’t know that I could be that chill with pronouns.” I once told a GNC friend I wished I could wear a type of “opposite” gender clothing after I had already transitioned and so it would be associated with my AGAB and he said “You could just do it.” I’ve had cishet men fight cops for me before. The first time I had a doctor ask me if my name was different than what was on my forms I had to try not to cry. Last week, a phone call with a doctor’s office where I am generally cis passing asked unprompted if my name listed is what I want to be called. It touched me then too. I told a lesbian friend once I felt like my attraction to men AND women both felt gay. She said “makes sense.” And we moved on. I go by different pronouns in different circles. I’ve had gay women love my facial hair. I’ve had gay men like my tits. It’s all out there, I promise. It can be hard to find it but I promise there is community like you and community who likes you. And it’s more messy and beautiful than tumblr discourse makes it out to be.

Ive never seen avatar the last airbender but here is my understanding of the plot based on tumblr

-the avatar is important bc he can bend all the elements and no one else can. There hasnt been one for a while and the fire nation is taking over

-a couple of siblings find a boy trapped in ice he's like 9 and bald and the last airbender. Also he's the avatar and they know this somehow

He's obsessed with honor. Zuko's nice uncle is worried. Todoroki didn't get a nice uncle Zuko is lucky in that department. Zuko is unlucky in most other departments

This is a common misconception because they’re such similar environments, but you should be aware that dads are native to Home Depot, while lesbians are actually native to Lowe’s. At this point, however, both dads and lesbians have made themselves at home in both Home Depot and Lowe’s to the point that trying to separate them back into their original ranges would probably do more harm than good to the delicate ecosystem of large chain hardware stores.

A properly raised and socialized Dad will be perfectly comfortable cohabiting with Lesbians. Its not really “encroaching on another’s territory”. You wouldn’t say that about foxes in a forest that also homes bobcats, would you? No. It’s just two different species that have both evolved to live in similar/the same environment. As long as they recognize each other as equals, Dads and Lesbians are more than capable of cohabitation.

Now, if you were to release a pack of Lumberjacks into a Lowes or Home Depot, that’s where chaos will reign. Lumberjacks, like most megafauna species generally require more space than the average hardware store, even a big box store could provide. The misconception is that Lumberjacks are a social species because of how they often work and live together.

This is a matter of necessity, not preference, and a survival technique for thriving under the LogBoss.

A “pack” of Lumberjacks, if not under the environmental pressure of a LogBoss will naturally disperse until they each have a wide territory.

Lumberjacks rarely fight for territory.

One on one, a Lumberjack could drive out a Dad or Lesbian, however the latter tend to travel in social packs.

Lumberjacks will passively retreat on the presence of large numbers of people. Kind of like Sasquatch.

Getting a “pack” of Lumberjacks assembled would be hard enough unless they were forced into a Hardware Store by a LogBoss. In that case, they would already be in a heightened and potentially agitated state far above their natural behavior. This artificial scenario can be likened to a circus animal running amok. If it had been in the wild, the incident would not have occurred.

Free-roaming Lumberjacks are the cryptids of the Hardware ecosystem. They are surprisingly quiet and unobtrusive.

Please stop labeling Lumberjacks as dangerous roving social predators. They are intermediate level omnivores and remarkably peaceful unless threatened.
