I really dislike Griffith apologists, especially when they try to act as if some of the stuff Griffith did was okay. Particularly raping Casca and sacrificing the band of the Hawk. Saying that he wasn’t in his right mind doesn’t make it better. He committed sexual assault against casca because she and Guts hooked up. What was the point of that other than to emotionally hurt them. I’m pretty sure he remembers being femto and he didn’t apologize or recognize what he did was fucked up.
I also hate when Griffith apologists bring up guts assaulting casca to deflect like guts being trash don’t stop Griffith from being trash too. They can both be trash at the same time. It’s not a hard concept to get.
You can admit that a character you like has done messed up things and still like them, you don’t have to mold them into a more palpable version of themselves because you like them. Like I like guts but if someone was like guts is a shitty dude I’d be like “ I get it, but he still my fave but I understand why you don’t like him.”
