i will say there is something really really sweet to me about the festival sequence when you previously put tenna at mettatons. that mettaton is filming things for tenna to also see. it reads so much to me as somebody videotaping or taking videos and photos for someone in their life who can't themselves leave like if they're disabled or sick or otherwise. even if neither ending so far is an ideal for tenna this is at least one where he is loved and given the time of day for once. he was already housebound before, stuck in one location only seeing things from an outside point of view but at least with Whatever objectum shit is going on with mettaton who really does seem to see him as a being vs an object, he's finally like. acknowledged. someone is finally willing to share experiences not just On him but With + for him. it makes me fucking sick
