Thinking about how Skam France could have had an extra episode to give the old characters their own POV ala Skam OG (and Italia) so we can see what their futures hold. They could have even stuck with revisiting the individual mains one last time. We could have checked in with Emma to see how she’s adapting to graduating high school and maybe how her relationship with her mom is struggling in the aftermath of the affair with Arthur’s dad. Maybe Yann or Alex confesses their love but she decides that she likes being single and feels stronger for it.
We could have circled back to Manon to learn more about her humanitarian efforts and how her relationship with Charles has grown stronger after she confronted him for all the shitty things he said.
We could see Lucas one last time, visiting his mom so we could see how much their relationship has grown over the past year. Perhaps we see him cuddling on the couch with Eliott, talking about the past year and sharing their fears for the future. We could see Lucas with Mika one last time, Mika a proud guru because of how comfortable Lucas has become with himself.
We could see the Bakhellal family one more time. See how Idriss is doing and how her parents are coping with not only Imane getting ready for med school but also with her relationship with Sofiane. Maybe we could see her and Sofiane planning for their Moroccan trip together.
What about Arthur and how his relationship with Noee and Camille has grown stronger and how he and his mom are settling in to their new apartment after leaving his dad. Maybe this is what brings him and Alexia back together.
Lastly, we could have seen a shift of POV from Lola to Daphne as she focuses on her physical and mental health, knowing she has the support and love of her family and friends.
Then, at the end of the episode, we could gather for a post-BAC celebration, maybe at the park again, and Yann could send everyone off with an amazing speech about found family and love, and the camera could pan over the old guard slowly as they hold each other and then the camera settles on Lola, Maya, and her friends. Symbolizing the changing of the guard. The old characters have grown so much in the past two years and are excited about the future. Now it’s time for the new characters to get there too.
Yep. This is what I’m thinking about.
