hey, happy late holidays everyone. I’ve gotten increasingly busy but I miss you guys. Sorry I havent been keeping up with all that I promised. If ya’ll want, you can most definitely start rp-ing with your other blogs, but i cant guarantee updates and things like that will be consistent
Aya blushed a bit before sighing. “I don’t know, it was… weird for me. He used to do this a lot when we’d get into arguments. The whole self-pity thing would drag me back. I feel sort of bad, actually, even though I shouldn’t care…”
Kat sighed and snaked her arm around Aya’s waist “If you didn’t care, then you wouldn’t be my Aya. It sounds like he needs closure, I don’t really want you to meet him but if it makes him leave you alone…I don’t know.” she brushed Aya’s hair to behind her ear “You are the sweetest person I know, the fact that you feel bad for him proves how kind you are.”
Aya leaned her head against Kat’s hand. “You’re right… It’s just really hard for me to deny anyone… do you think I should be more assertive? I get that a lot…”
“You need to let him know where he stands…if you’re too nice he may think he has a chance. Seeing as we talked about getting married earlier, I’m hoping his chance is a solid 0%.” Kat caressed the side of her face and kissed her forehead “now you’re the one who looks like they need a massage.” she chuckled.
Aya smiled. “You’re right. No, he doesn’t have a chance. I’d prefer a headstrong woman over a weak man any day.” She kissed Kat’s palm gently.
Kat relaxed into the couch and smiled at Aya “Is there anything you want to do to take your mind off of the phone call? We could watch a movie, anything you want.”
Aya sighed, furrowing her eyebrows as she got a text message from the same number. She turned her phone on silent and laid her head against Kat’s shoulder. “A move sounds amazing.” She said.
“I’ll see what we have then.” Kat snuggled with Aya as she flicked through the movie channel section, looking to see if anything good was on “see anything you like?”
“I’ve never watched the life-action Grinch movie.” Aya suggested. “Perhaps we should get into the holiday spirit? And I heard it was really funny, Americans love it I hear.”

“Have you taken them to go see Santa yet?” Aya asked, having a seat on the couch. “I’m sure they’d be really excited to go, provided they don’t know who Santa really is.”
“Well Jas and Eddie are 16 and 13 so I’m guessing they might have an idea as to who it is but Sophia is just 4 so she gets excited. I’ll be taking her to see Santa soon.” Kat dropped onto the couch next to her girlfriend and put an arm around her “do you want to come with us when we go?”
Aya’s face lit up. “Of course! I wanna see how excited she gets!” She snuggled up closer to Kat. “She’s so cute. I didn’t stop believing in Santa until I was abouuut… 14 I think.” Aya chuckled. “My parents always kept me in a dream world.”
“Aw it’s sweet, they wanted Christmas to stay magical for you. I found out when I was 9, I git in a fight with a kid at school who kept telling me Santa wasn’t real and when I got picked up my dad was so mad and he told me to stop being pathetic about getting into fights over imaginary people.” Kat shrugged “Christmas was a little dull after that but with the kids and you, it’s picked up again.”
“It’s so crazy hearing about your past stories Kat,” Aya observed thoughtfully. “Especially with how much you’ve changed. You fought over Santa, you were hardcore! Which reminds me, turn around so I can give you your massage!”
“Do I keep my shirt on or…” She said as she turned around “aren’t I supposed to lay on my front?”
“You can do whatever you want!” Aya encouraged. “You can if you want, but I’m perfectly okay with you sitting up!” Aya began rubbing Kat’s shoulders gently. “You’ll be ready to nap after this, I promise! Especially with a full stomach.”
“Well, seeing as I’m full I’ll stick to sitting up.” Kat wiggled her shoulders momentarily and closed her eyes, trying to relax. And to her surprise Aya was quite good at giving massages, she was enjoying herself but the date wasn’t quite going where she had planned it to go in her head.
Aya continued to rub her thumbs into Kat’s back, loosening the muscles until her cell phone began to ring. “Excuse me,” Aya said softly, stopping before checking the caller ID. It was a unidentified number. “Hello?” She greeted in her usual cheerful tone.
“Aya? It’s me.” Her ex boyfriend, Minoru’s voice sounded. Aya’s eyes widened. She covered the receiver for a moment. “it’s my ex…” She whispered to Kat.
Kats eyes said what the fuck but she remained calm “It’s been over a year…and he still has your number?” She whispered. Kat didn’t have a good feeling about him calling but that might have been paranoia.
Aya bit her lip and put the phone back up to her ear. “Hi, Minoru. Um, what can I do for you?” She put him on speakerphone so Kat could hear in on their conversation.
“Hi Aya. It’s so nice to hear your voice. Are you alone?”
“Uh… Yeah.” Aya lied.
“Okay. I’ve been missing you so much. I want to see you. Do you think you could meet with me for lunch soon?”
“Oh! Well… I don’t think I can do that… I’m with someone…”
“Oh… so there’s no chance?” Aya could hear the desperation in his voice, but she was apathetic. “What if I came to visit you tomorrow?”
She was looking at the phone as he spoke but when he asked to see her, Kats eyes widened and shot towards Aya. Her brows knitted together and she mouthed “really?”
“That wouldn’t be a good idea.” Aya said firmly. She was starting to get anxious. Minoru started getting into a tangent about how he wasn’t worthy of Aya and missed her so much it was worse than dying. Aya promptly hung up after the fourth “I love you.”
“That... was weird...” Aya said, unsettled.
