@ayaosawa
Sorry to bother you again so soon, but when I said I hoped 13.1 would come out before long I wasn't expecting it to be literally today lol. Ofc I don't want to rush or annoy you when you have work and stuff, I just thought the timing was fun.
Oh, and if you don't mind me asking did you read the volume 1 extras with the other stuff when you were catching up? I don't know if you didn't post anything from it because you didn't read it or because it was short enough you just didn't have anything you wanted to post. At least if you haven't read it, it's not long at all. Obviously it's not that important so I don't want to pester you over it, but it's cute at least!
I read it before my nightly routine!!! And they're still so cute!!
Now we're moving into some serious couples territory: kissing. I'm a tad surprised Ayumu asked for a kiss after she had such trouble holding hands previously, BUT that's also like very real, especially in your first relationship. Same with Hina's "I need to prepare myself!" You kind of get excited and want to do things couples do, like kissing, but you're also incredibly clueless, so you overthink it and make it into a bigger thing than it is/needs to be.
Also Hina putting effort into her running again, stating she wants to win. Baby's healing! The mire of grief looks different for everyone, and it seemed pretty obvious that it sapped Hina's sense of desire, in a way. I'm not sure if "desire" is the right way to describe it, but there was a sense of apathy for herself that Hina seemed to carry which is why she was so flippant about losing her race. But she's getting her spark back!
If I had the presence of mind, I'd probably discuss the difference in how Asuka and Ayumu love Hina, and how they affect her perspective. But I'd end up ranting, I fear. Hina's change is attributed to her being in a romantic relationship, yeah, and that's definitely part of it, but I also think that Ayumu's friendship and her earnestness inspired a change in Hina. 🙂↕️Young love. They're so precious.
Also, I did read the extras! I liked them but I don't think I ever posted about them since they didn't have much story to talk about, HOWEVER
This one was craaaazyyy it was cute and gay abd the art in it is especially good
It's a wonder she didn't short circuit.
The produce will give you potentially deadly diarrhea, the air is full of smoke(so is the water), the weather is getting progressively worse, and kids won't stop trying to bite me.
I try not to be on here during the week since I'm working, but if I can't smoke and can't drink(legally), I need to be here. Or else ritualistic sacrifices will be made.
Official art.
I'm soooo curious about this whole thing and what it means... the design is exactly like a dagger/knife that Lara is using in the concept trailer. It's also shown with the light in certain scenes, the ones I remember for now: the scene after Lisa says she will find Lara, and the one where Mari says that Lara needs to stop following her.
I've rewatched some scenes from episode 1 and it looks like before turning into foam, the light comes out of her body and it turns into the knife once she says "I was the vile one."
So much potential yuri out there being squandered by the fact that the mangaka decided to make the protagonist or love interest (or both) male...
You can course correct at any time, het authors! You don't even need to justify why she's a girl now!
I'll move in and pursue it. You attack from range. We'll be fine, Ali. The two of us can handle this.
Seiran, you're still holding your knife. Ah! Sorry, Sheena! I have a feeling things are about to get interesting.
Seiran, we're in class. Right... Sorry, Ali. It's okay.
i dont wanna work i wanna get felt up by 6-12 disembodied hands (female)
It's cool that you're finally caught up! Hopefully we'll get chapter 13.1 translated really soon too. Also I can't remember if I posted about it here but one thing I love a lot about chapter 12.2 is Hina calling back to what Ayumu said back in chapter 2!
Seeing how Ayumu has inspired Hina and the way she views the world makes me so happy. Not to mention Hina starting to get how Ayumu thinks enough to know exactly what to say to help clear her anxiety about actually being in a relationship! They're so good for each other I think
I did!!! I fell asleep like immediately after I got home yesterday orz but I caught up with my girls when I woke up! I'm glad there isn't a sense of finality once Ayumu and Hina become a couple offically, and the relationship between Ayumu and Asuka isn't wiped clean suddenly.
I really think that the three of them have some great chemistry as a trio, and I love how Asuka is even slightly antagonistic towards Ayumu. Those two are just really funny together, they make good friends/rivals.
And then the main couple!! Ah, it's refreshing that we'll be seeing them navigate through this new territory together. I think Ayumu's bit of anxiety over holding hands is cute, and also really shows just how little experience they have in the realm of dating. Hina has no idea if what she's feeling is love, Ayumu has no clue what dating really entails or how it is defined for them, but both of them trying to learn together as they go 🤧Love it, loove me some yuri.
Yeah I definitely agree with the group dynamic being great! A part of me was worried that Asuka being rejected would have strained things after how well they worked together in ch10, so I'm glad that if anything actually communicating her feelings has helped solidify it! And Ayumu and Asuka in particular have one of my favorite mc + 'rival' dynamics of all of the yuri I've read so far. Her always trying to be tsundere and throw jabs at Ayumu only for Ayumu to be so dense and friend-brained around her that they always bounce off is so cute.
And you're so right about Hina and Ayumu's relationship too! They both really have what the other lacked in the beginning, so it's so sweet to see them both growing together. Hina has helped pull Ayumu out of her shell and see things she never would have otherwise, while Ayumu has helped reignite the spark and passion that Hina had lost.
Like you said, it's wonderful that they're still helping each other learn more about themselves and love - that getting into a relationship with each other is just a new step in that process rather than the end. I really think there's so much potential for it to last a while longer, to give more time to fully explore them and what their relationship can be. So hopefully it's not over just yet!
Ooouuugh, we love a good directing trope when the shot has a barrier in the middle separating the characters to indicate distance in their relationship and then one crosses the barrier it's so peak
which could mean nothing
