“Useless crap is right,” Ayla repeated. The girl normally never cursed, but she’d been studying all day long and her annoyance levels were rising. Not much actually bothered Ayla, but chemistry was pushing it. “You’d really go all the way to my dorm to get my laptop? I mean, that’d be really awesome if you did, but you don’t have to, seriously.”

Best friends. Though Ayla knows she befriends people easily, they’re always just friends to her. She used to have a best friend - Tyler - but now that he’s gone, she feels like there is no one to call her very best friend.

Commoners. Ayla loves Corona with her whole heart, but deep down she can’t help but wish she had the option to choose her future. She wants to travel on her own time, become captain of a ship, open her own bakery, teach people how to paint. But as Corona’s future queen, her options are limited.

Camille. Despite deep down wishing she didn’t have to be queen of Corona, she does wish she was just a natural at being a ruler, like she thinks Camille is. 

Important Connections:

Tyler Farbe. They were two peas in a pod, were attached at the hip, were each other’s backbones. Keyword? Were. Now? Not so much. Once they got to WDA together, things just haven’t been the same. Tyler seems to be distant, and hardly talks to her at all. Ayla wants nothing more than to regain their friendship once more, but hasn’t the slightest idea how to achieve that, or even bring it up. For someone she used to tell her deepest secrets to, Tyler is now nothing more than a stranger to her.

Roxie Darkbloom. An unlikely friendship, Ayla was one of the few to look past Roxie’s villainous demeanor and see a real person underneath it all. The two stand up for one another (much to Roxie’s dismay), and Ayla is very thankful for her. Though Ayla takes Roxie as she is, Ayla hopes that the more she’s around Roxie, the more of a good, light influence she’ll be.

Camille Charming. Although Ayla does in fact look up to Camille, she also deep down recognizes the fact that she and the rest of the Blonde Squad use her for things other than teaching her how to rule a kingdom. Still, Ayla appreciates the company, and truthfully, if Ayla wouldn’t be around Camille, Scarlett, or Cleo (???), she has no idea who she’d spend time with.

Meet DANI LYN FITZHERBERT, a NINETEEN year old who is the mun of AYLA FITZHERBERT. She hails from A SMALL TOWN RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE OF BATON ROUGE AND NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA, where she lives with her parents, two sisters, golden retriever, two cats, and pet ghost.

She both loves where she lives but doesn’t. She loves the culture and sense of community and family, but hates the collective thought processes. Everyone has the same values and morals and opinions (stupid, close minded opinions) and it sucks. She feels stuck here because Louisiana has this thing called TOPS where you get scholarship money for getting high ACT scores so she can’t leave the state for college without feeling guilty about throwing money down the drain.

Every one in her family (minus the pets) has a name that starts with a D. Davey (her dad), Dawn (her mom), Davi (her older sister), Dani (her lmao duh), and Demi (her little sister). Additionally, all the kids have a middle name that starts with L. Davi Leigh, Dani Lyn, and Demi Loryn.

She’s become used to answering to Davi, Demi, and even Debi, aka what her high school’s secretary started calling her.

Her golden retriever is named Sunny Bear and she’s the fluffiest and fattest golden you’ll ever see in your life. Mila and Piper are the cats and Mila is hers and Piper is Davi’s but Mila doesn’t like her and likes Demi more and Piper loves her the most. Then there’s Toby, the ghost, who she named after the Paranormal Activity movies. He’s not a bad ghost, but he’ll just pull stupid ass pranks to mess with us. (i.e. turning on radios, knocking things off shelves, hiding car keys, etc.)

Dani has a few minor obsessions, which I’ll elaborate on through bullets:

Disney. She’s been 28 times, and is going three (plus possibly more) next year. Her favorite movie ever in the world is Tangled. She knows more about Disney than she does about anything else.

Music. Her favorite song ever in the world is All Too Well by Taylor Swift, then Oh Well, Oh Well by Mayday Parade, then Hey There Delilah by Plain White T’s, then Yellow by Coldplay, then it becomes a jumble of favorite songs. She’s been to like 20ish concerts, some of them being Taylor Swift, One Direction/5 Seconds of Summer, Lana Del Rey, Paramore, John Mayer, and Bowling for Soup (Jaret Reddick actually talked to her!!!!!)

Favorites. It’s kind of weird but she has a set favorite for like everything??? Ice cream flavor: chocolate chip cookie dough. State: Maine. Dinosaur: stegosaurus. Flower: sunflower. Article of Clothing: socks. God: Apollo. Okay there’s more but she can’t think of like out of the box favorites at this time.

Lists. She has a bajillion notebooks and such just to write lists down, and even has a book called Listography where every page has a topic and you list whatever it is

Maine. She’s never actually been??? But??? She wants to go so bad. She thinks she read a book that was set there and ever since she just wants to go so bad. And then like WDA is there and so is Storybrooke so.

Boats. I don’t know dude she just fucking loves boats.

GOATS. HOLY FUCKING SHIT GODDAMN LIKE SHE FUCKING LOVES GOATS. FAVORITE THINGS EVER ON THIS EARTH. THEY’RE THE BEST.

Izzo’s. Okay so not everyone may know what it is because I think it’s only in Louisiana or states close, but it’s basically Chipotle but BETTER AND DANI GOES THERE LIKE SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK.

Anyways, continuing on. She struggles with body image sometimes. Sometimes it’s not so bad and sometimes it’s awful. The worst it ever was was in 10th grade, she developed bulimia because of pressure to be “perfect” like her sisters, who she feels are skinnier, prettier, taller, better, etc. Thankfully one day she had an epiphany and realized what she was doing was not healthy and was not helping, and she saved herself. She still struggles sometimes, but for the most part she’s better, and has a much better self esteem than her past self.

She has trypanophobia, aka an extreme and irrational fear of needles and shots. Not going to elaborate on it or else she’ll end up curling up into a ball for ten minutes to get the images out of her head.

She never really knows when to shut the fuck up or when to stop, so she’ll do that now before this gets even longer than it already is.

If she had a superpower, it would probably be...

ZOOLINGUISM: Dani has always loved animals, and has been a vegetarian for four and a half years now. Any kind of animal, Dani loves and admires, even creepy crawlies and freaky creatures. To be able to speak to them would be absolutely amazing, and she’d make all of the animals her friends.

It’s a good height to jump off of and into the water below.” Wiggling her fingers for emphasis, the raven haired girl sat, pulling off her boots. “I’m so excited for this, seriously, you’re gonna love it!”

Ayla was busy admiring the view to actually register what Roxie intended on doing. When it did register, the blonde snapped her head to look at the other, eyes wide with concern. “Jump? You’re kidding right?!” Ayla looked down at the water below. She couldn’t tell how deep it was; it could have been 12 feet deep or it could have been a kiddie pool. “I don’t think that’s such a good idea...”

“Ayla, come on!” Roxie called over her shoulder as they trekked up the side of the steep hill, a breathless laugh escaping her lips. “For someone so young you’re being seriously slow!” After a few more minutes of climbing and some slips that Roxie will swear blind never happened, Roxie managed to get to the top, breathing heavier than she probably should have been for someone who did as much exercise as she did. “Ayla?” She asked again, turning to see where the blonde was.

“I’m coming, I’m coming!” Ayla huffed. She has paused for a moment to admire a lady bug, but truthfully she needed a moment to catch her breath. The blonde wasn’t used to being the one trailing behind; usually when she and Tyler went adventuring, Ayla was calling for Tyler to come on. “I’m alive, don’t worry!” She left the insect behind and followed the path Roxie took. When she got there, she stood upon a rock to get a view of the valley below them. “Woah,” Ayla whispered, still catching her breath. “How high do you think we are?”

Ayla studied the girl for a second before coming to a quick conclusion, “Well I’m willing to bet it’s wonderful nonsense, and that there’s even some sense within the nonsense.” She laughed, closing her textbook and pushing it to the side. “You can say that again. I don’t think I’ll ever understand chemistry.”

Whoever receives this is extremely lucky!” Khamisi complimented, continuing to hold it in awe in his hands, inspecting every beautiful and small detail of it. “You made it yourself? That’s amazing!”

Ayla looked up hopefully at the other, waiting for a response. To her relief, it was a positive one. “You really think so?” She grinned, perking up. “I did! My mom taught me how to make pottery, so when the art teacher said we could use the kiln, I got started on it right away.” The blonde beamed, feeling extremely pleased with herself, and every speck of insecurity about the gift vanished. “Do you want one? Now that I finished this, I have no idea what to get started on next.”

Ayla laughed along with the boy, not being able to hide the smile that had creeped onto her face. “No, but that does sound like a cool idea. I mean, minus the effort it would take to chop different hands off different people. Anyways,” She shook her head slightly, focusing her easily distracted mind back to the reason she’d stopped him in the first place. “I’m wrapping this present, but I need someone’s finger - possibly yours - to hold the ribbon so that I can make the perfect bow.”
