Hudson to the actions and careers of white male actors. You are bypassing the very real issue of race and bias that Hudson has to contend with in Hollywood. Please understand you are inadvertently dismissing a challenge he faces that is unique to him as an Asian man around his masculinity especially. Also, he is not anywhere near as white-presenting as Keanu Reeves, and that afforded Keanu a lot more access as a leading man and action star. He was and is an anomaly because of that.

Pass judgement on Hudson for whatever, but please recognize that race/ethnicity and stereotypes are real for him and do impact the choices he has to make. It sucks but it is true.

I've been looking (very fondly) at the photos from the September Trip. What strikes me as I look at all of these is the intimacy. Unlike the NY trip, there are no friends around, it's all just them. We've seen Hudson hiking with friends but this is an exclusive trip. All the photos are made by the other or selfies. It's two people spending time together, getting to know each other beyond the filming set and reestablishing their relationship.
