LIFE

Best friend just landed himself a job here in Jacksonville. That makes 4 out of the 4 of my friends that have had quite enough of living at home and wanted to live together in Jax Beach as soon as jobs were had. 

Loan/car shopping this weekend. First day Monday. Celebrating my 23rd (ouch) birthday NOT living at home? LOOK AT ME NOW (planning some roller dancing this weekend)

GOT. THE. JOB.

7 months later, some spent more productively than others, and my career will finally, and officially, begin here in Jacksonville next Monday. After living the past few years in a collegiate utopia filled with sleeping 'til noon, beers before/during/and after happy hour and limited responsibility, it's about time I get a taste of the real world.

I'M MORE THAN READY.

More importantly, these Saved By The Bell ads on MTV2 mashing up rap songs with show clips are MTV's greatest creations.

Absolutely love this

GoPro already has some of the coolest commercials to those familiar with them. They tend to focus on the Red Bull type demographic, featuring extreme sports athletes in their ads using GoPro cameras to enhance their extreme sporting. The ad team always chooses incredible music, usually highlighting an underground artist that deserves mainstream attention.

I discovered Phantogram after hearing "When I'm Small" over Mike Douglas's snow powdery backflip, and now I'm gonna be looking into Frankie Numi after the latest GoPro spot with Ryan Sheckler. The jazz piano sampled hip-hop sound of "On and On" pairs beautifully with the New York streets Sheckler skates (say that 5 times fast). 

Makes me miss skating between cabs in Manhattan and swerving potholes in Brooklyn. New York is just a big playground.
