Io Vestalia!

Held from 7-15 June, Vestalia is a sacred festival dedicated to Vesta, goddess of the hearth. Here are some ideas to celebrate each day, including their historical basis:

The 9th of June was the day the three most senior Vestal Virgins prepared mola salsa, a salt based cake offering, and presented it as an offering to Vesta. A recipe for mola salsa can be found here.

On the final day of Vestalia, festivities were concluded with a cleansing of the temple storehouse and sweeping of filth/debris. This was followed by the ritual disposal of sweepings into the Tiber. This was done to prepare for the upcoming harvest.

The final days of Vestalia are a great time to clean out your pantry, fridge, or freezer. Donate any unperishable, unexpired food items to a local shelter or food pantry. This is also a good time to do a floor cleansing, or a simple mundane sweep or vacuum around your home.

rerir to me is that "weird girl" and i don't mean weird girl who's kinda lonely and has bad socialization i mean the weird girl who went missing for 8 years and the only photos you see of them have this weird "trail cam" look to them and for some reason is always alone in photos with this "deer in headlights" look on their face and there's an odd symbolisim of flowers and if you look closely there are blood in multiple photos

but no one really pays attention because after year 5 they're assumed dead and dead people aren't weird or do no wrong. everyone is picturing a bunny when really what's right their eyes is a hare.

year 9 they return and is unrecognizable to anyone, refuses to talk about what happened in that decade. that weird girl in the photos and everyone's stories is both still there and also dead with someone else in the body.
