Wow I can’t believe I’ve been here almost for a week! I can say this city is amazing. My days have been filled with castings and I shot my first job for a shoe company! Going to castings here is so different than LA. Your manager drives you and is always with you, translates and basically presents you to the client. And wow are the models pretty here! Most beautiful girls - almost all from Eastern European countries. You definitely need a thick skin here, it’s very competitive. My first shoot went well. The poses are a little different and they always want bigger smile - BIGGER - B I G G E R - more cute!!! lol My jetlag is still keeping me awake at night but I hope it’s going away soon!

Other things I’ve noticed … More coffee shops lol. Coffee coffee coffee. Day and night. And I don’t even drink coffee haha. I think I might start and I probably also will be fluent in Russian soon 😝

question. Why are the towels here so small? I really don’t understand it. It’s the size of a hand towel in US. I first thought maybe the people are just smaller in Korea but that can’t be right… 😝

I also went to the gym around the corner from the model apartment and the trainers were so nice and three of them trying to explain the gym machines to me in English. Haha so adorable. Most Koreans speak pretty good english but I guess they are just a little shy. No worries I don’t bite 😝

i still have to get used to the food a little more. So spiiiicyyyy! And A LOT of meat and rice rice rice and more rice. I don’t know how everyone stays so skinny with eating so many carbs day and night lol. And I got forced to try beef intestines …. Gopchang 곱창 definitely interesting … (btw I totally wrote it in hangul myself. I hope that’s right ^^)

My Russian model roommates and I went clubbing in Seoul for the first time. Halloween costume party! And strangely a lot of korean guys like to dress up like Arab terrorists and …But hey the Koreans definitely know how to party! The girls costumes were mostly G-rated… They only show some legs but hide the cleavage … Thinking about Halloween in the states. The less fabric you can wear the better is the motto there… And the skinny little korean girls could definitely wear it! Pretty girls! it was So much fun and Dancing to great music!! And drinks drinks drinks… They love their liquor! We saw the most hilarious dance moves which we got introduced to as ‘korean club dancing’. Involves a lot of shoulder and head bubble movement. And then step to the left and to the right and to the left and to the right. I wish I could’ve filmed this… We will go out again soon! Haha I will be a pro soon 😝 we stayed until 6am going from club to club and dancing! And then of course! Morning Korean BBQ! Delicious!

Amazing week so far! Can’t wait for new adventures and if anyone has recommendations on what to do in Seoul - please let me know :)

I had an amazing first day! I woke up super early thanks to my jetlag and I started my quest to find food outside of my apartment. Luckily it’s not as cold as I thought it would be. First I dressed like I was going outside in a snowstorm ^^ I found this super cute coffee shop and had some breakfast. Afterwards a meeting with my agency. I’m so happy they are so sweet and really pushing for my career here! I booked my first job! Yay!! It’s for a shoe company. Gladly I have tiny feet. Hahahaha. We went over some poses and clothes to wear for castings. My manager Eddie then took me grocery shopping which was a very interesting experience. I never thought I would pay 5$ for 4 apples. Veggies and fruit are EXPENSIVE! And I didn’t even know what have of the stuff was but I found some familiar things and got recommended to also take some instant ramen soup … We will see how this tastes. Seoul is amazing so far. People are really nice! And I think I saw over 20 coffee beans cafés and 15 Starbucks already. Koreans must love coffee. Very interesting city and I can’t wait for my shoot tomorrow! ☺️ Good night!

Arrived in Seoul Monday night, October 21st after a looooong 13 hour flight. I got picked up by my modeling agency from the airport and went straight to a commercial casting. I thought I looked like a zombie, but it went pretty well. I’m sharing an apartment with three models, two girls and one guy, I’m so glad they are super nice! I’m looking forward to this adventure! Good night Seoul...
