I ran to his tent, my heart pounding wildly. One in, I tackled him to the ground as I peppered his face with kisses.

“You're free! Oh my Gods, you're free! I'm so glad you're out of that cage, I missed you so!”

As I kept showering him in kisses, my tail swayed wildly behind me. Oh how I missed him...

I nuzzled my face into his chest, my tail wrapping around his leg. I didn't want to let him go.

“I was so scared they would hurt you and I'd never see you again!”

I didn't let him go, scared that he'd disappear if I did. Tears threatened to escape, but I didn't let them flow.

*he rubs your back* there there... I'm here. You're really clinging to me though.

I loosen my hold on him, looking embarrassed. My tail stayed wrapped around his leg for a second longer before I fully loosened my tail off his leg.

“Ah, sorry sorry.. I just really missed you. Got really worried I'd never see you again. Let me get offa ya..”

I crawled off of him so he could get up, my face red from embarrassment. As I stood aside so he could get up, my tail swayed wildly behind me.

*he tilts your head up and kisses you gently*

I closed my eyes and melted in the kiss, my tail wrapping around his ankle now. My arms wrapped around his neck loosely, pressing myself against him subtly.

That same fluttery feeling I felt in my chest earlier returned, now standing on my tip toes to fully reach up to him. My face felt warm to the touch, pulling back a little to get a shakey breath in.

I returned to Harlequin's tent, walking in to spend my 10 minutes wisely. Once in, I sat by his cage and my tail wrapping around his hand.

“Hey, Harlequin.. Heard what happened. I'm so sorry for your loss.. Don't beat yourself up too much for what you did. Your actions, the way you reacted.. It's all valid. He killed the one you loved. I'd react the same way too if the one I loved was killed.”

I looked at him, hugging my knees to my chest as I never left his cage. I wanted to stay with him forever, but I knew I couldn't do such. All I could do was be there for the 10 minutes I had.

*he looks at you before holding your tail and even giving it a little kiss* it's... Fine my dear. What's done is done

I sighed, leaning against the cage as my tail tightened around his hand. I had to fight tears to be strong. For him.

“It might be done, but just know I'll be here. Through thick and thin. Promise you that.”

I tucked my hand into the cage, hoping to feel his touch once more.

*he leans into your touch, purring softly and nuzzling your hand*

My thumb rubbed on his cheek, a weak smile on my face. My tail never left his hand, content with the contact we have for this predicament.

I faced him more and rested my head against the bars of the cage, tears threatening to spill once more.

“I failed, I must've.. I can't see him and I can't do my job.. I'm supposed to comfort him, but I can't do that with his fools and jokers stopping me..”

Out of anger, I used my tail to basically throw something across the tent, on the brink of tears once more. This feeling wasn't the best.

I glared at the joker who said that, tears threatening to fall. I got up, walking to that joker.

“Temper tantrum? HAH! YOU GUYS ARE STOPPING ME FROM DOING MY JOB. I'm supposed to be there for him, to let him know that it'll be alright in the end..”

Using my tail, I picked up the joker by the throat, fuming with anger.

“FACE ME YOURSELF, JESTER! YOU FUCKIN COWARD!!”

🃏: *the second joker held a knife to your throat* he is recovering from the poison that Harlequin oh so graciously injected into his face. So you either calm down and leave or we kill you. We have a job to do as well and we will do so.

I dropped the joker, then swatting the knife away from it. Tears threatened to overflow.

“Just let me do my job, even if it's just 10 minutes. All I was is 10 minutes.”

I walked out, heading to Harlequin's tent with tears escaping my eyes.

“Please! I have to see him! He needs me! Please! PLEASE!!”

I screamed and cried as I tried to get in, pushing fools and jokers off of me just to see him and comfort him. I would use my tail to hit them away, determined to see Harlequin.

“I DON'T CARE! I'M ALWAYS THERE FOR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT! HE NEEDS ME!”

I kept trying to get in, hysteria and panic taking over. I screamed, yelled, clawed, bit, scratched, hit, anything just to get in. I was getting desperate, wanting to just be there for his comfort.

I looked away a little, feeling stupid for having assumed that he wouldn't forgive me for such things. I picked at my hands, still nervously fidgeting with the feeling that I couldn't explain.

what? Punish you or kill you? I have more important things to attend to than that. You are fine. I already knew his jalapeños wouldn't stay away from him.

A wave of embarrassment flooded over me, nervously looking down.

As I held out the flowers and chocolates, my otter tail swayed behind me in anticipation.

I'd hold the kiss, my tail swaying faster as I felt myself close to him. Once the kiss broke, I looked at him with a small tang of guilt.

“I'm sorry, I did forget that.. I'll remember that next time, I promise. I made the chocolates at work, doing that instead of my break.”

I smiled at him, still a little embarrassed I forgot that he didn't like sweets. I still held the flowers, the look of them seeming freshly cut or just freshly grabbed.

I rubbed where he flicked me, a small laugh escaping.

“I won't do it again, I promise. I'll try to make you something next time on a day off instead.”

As he held the flowers, I swayed side to side as my tail dragged on the floor. My ears were perked up, my happiness towards him very obvious.

I let out an exhausted sigh, my otter tail in between my legs and my ears down.

“You were hurt.. Like, really hurt.. And I was helpless, couldn't move, couldn't scream, couldn't... Do anything...”

I let out a huff, feeling ridiculously stupid for this. Yet again, I felt safe with him. I then laughed weakly, looking up at him with tired eyes.

“Stupid, right..?”

*he glances down at you before humming* foolish yes but stupid? Hmmm. *His tail flicks*

“I know I shouldn't be worrying, but it's hard... Hell, I worry too much.. Are they gonna hurt you again? Take you away? Too many things..”

I looked up at him, the restraint to cry stinging my eyes. I then weakly smiled.

“I said I would be your emotional support otter kemonomimi, but here I am.. The one needing the emotional support. Fuck, I'm such a mess...”
