There are times that Reiji does miss being up on the stage. . He loved to see people cheer and smile for him. However, the life of being an idol ended for him a long time ago. The only reason why he kept at it for so long, was because he knew it would be selfish to just throw everything away without even trying. So many people were never able to make it to stage like Reiji. It would have been insulting to them…and most importantly to the one who gave him the courage to be an idol.
However after that letter, Reiji couldn’t put on a façade anymore. He had to leave. There was just no way he could continue being the happy idol anymore. That’s why he’s so glad he found Bellevue.
Bellevue was like a breath of fresh air after years of constantly being in the lime light among screaming crowds. No one in Bellevue glanced twice at him. They just waved and moved about their day. At first, Reiji thought he couldn’t live without people not knowing him, but now he cherishes it. The feeling of just being another regular person in the crowd has never felt so great as it does now.
As he walked down the streets of Abra ca Avenue, Reiji basked in the nice day of living a normal life. He hoped to get inspiration on what he should with himself as a citizen on Bellevue. Right now he’s just living on his savings, but he needed to find a job soon.
None of the store front caught his interest until his eyes fell on a flower shop.
That name gave Reiji pauses as he stared at the sign. Memory of blue eyes and blue hair came to mind, placing Reiji in a nostalgia mood. He remembered back at Saotome where Aine would randomly tell Reiji about flowers sometimes. Of course Reiji could never remember which flower meant which, but oddly he remembered blue roses. The symbol of the impossible and the unattainable.
Interest piqued, Reiji decided to enter the shop and look around, maybe buy some flower for his apartment. The bell jingled as he entered and not even a second later a voice called out the greet him.
But Reiji heard nothing. All he could here was the blood rushing in his ears as he stared, transfixed on the person that just spoke. Obviously he was just as surprised as Reiji, but recovered first.
That question, snapped him out of his stupor, enough to find his voice and force out a few words.
“Yeah it’s me.” He forced a watery smile. “I never thought I would see you again, Aine.”
