Hiyaaaaa

SO!! I finally have a new pattern. I think I’m going to try to design one drawstring hat every year. This year its looong.

Anyways, you can purchase the pattern from Ravelry or Etsy.

I just have one tip to everyone who is thinking of trying to knit this.

BLOCKING IS NECESSARY.

When you knit lace, it looks horrible right off the needle. I mean, seriously. Look at this!

This is a pattern I had made to teach my student how to make her first cabled hat, so I made sure it was not intimidating.

Woaaa…the last time I posted a pattern was November 2010 @_@  Ever since I started knitting sans patterns, I have been designing a bunch of stuff as I went but never got around actually building one.  This one should be a reeeal quickie.  Before blocking, it was much thinner and felt pretty snug against my face.  I liked the pre-blocked look better, but this work just fine too.

My primary job as an animator/illustrator has been preetty hectic, but 1)I’ve got more exciting animation 2)I designed my friend’s new album, 3) I’m in a new band myself and an EP will be released soon, and 4) I have still managed to make time every day to spin.

Recipe : Hemp-Oat-Milk

Here is what I use, but you can change up the ratio. This makes something like a whole milk consistency.

about 32oz of water

about 1/2 cup of rolled oats

about 1/4 cup of hemp seeds

Finished the kit my husband got me for my birthday! I got to learn and practice a bunch of stitches. Buttonhole stitch seems to be my enemy. This is so cool...I get to “draw” on more things! #stuffsido
