WoL Intro
Name: Lycoris Lunaris (professional name)
Aliases: Lyco, Lycoris de Borel(Legal name), Rhea (Forest name)
Various titles: Under the Moonlight (in game title), The Warrior of Light and Darkness, Scion of the Seventh Dawn, Savior of Ishgard, Azure Savior, Viscountess of House Borel, Daughter of House Fortemps, the Azure Dragoon, the Traveller, Successor to the Shephard of the Stars, Savior of the Star, and finally "That Viera that punched Forchenault in a forum meeting"
Race:Viera (Veena)
Age: at the beginning of ARR she was 39, so as of EW (as far as my prefered timeline goes) she's 44.
Homeland:Mountains to the north of Radz-at-Han, though she considers both Radz-at-Han and Ishgard her homes
Gender:Female
Sexuality: Bisexual, polyamourous
Main job: As much as she'd say Botanist, White Mage/Dragoon/Red Mage
Secondary Jobs: Black Mage/Dark Knight/Warrior/Paladin/Bard/Astrologian/DoL/DoH classes
Partners: Aymeric (+ his boyfriend Estinien), Y'shtola
Deity: Since she's not Eorzean, none in particular. Her tribe worshipped nature and the moon in particular, so I imagine on her Eorzean Immigration forms she just filled in the circle next to Memphina and called it good.
I like to joke she converted to Halone as of 6.1 so she could properly marry Aymeric with out causing all of the other noble houses heart attack and scandal.
Dyes of choice: Ice blue, Corpse Blue,Raptor Blue, metallic blue, Rolanberry Red
Chocobo: Pink chocobo she brought from Thavnair named Boko
Born as Rhea, has a twin brother named Rehne.
Because they were born together, they assumed they'd always be together, so it was traumatic for both when the time came for Rehne to go off for the other boys to learn to protect the forests after their sexes became more apparent. (13)
This resulted in her becoming very bitter towards her tribesfolk, and when the males returned five years later, with out Rehne and with no sign of him for nearly four years, she abandoned her home and set off, roaming solitary or spending months in various smaller settlements before more permanently settling to the south in Radz-at-Han. (24)
She picked the name Lycoris when she arrived, after seeing the plant in a florist's shop, and took Luna as a last name.
The florist, a lalafell named Cocoha Coha, gave her a job since her skills with lance and bow and predisposition toward healing arts made her more than capable to harvest in more dangerous locations.
Incidently, out of either habit from her own cultural naming conventions or a motherly gesture for her employee, started calling her Lycoris Lunaris, which Lyco adopted pretty quickly. She spent the next ish years all over Thavnair, occassionally taking trips with Cocoha to Kugane for work.
Echo awoke during Dalamud's fall, presenting at first as a voice telling her to go to Eorzea in her dreams of endless seas of stars. (35)
When she told Cocoha about this later on as they became more insistant, along with other strange visions, Cocoha made arrangements to book her passage and shelter to Gridania by way of Limsa Lominsa, both to basically go on a work study at the botanists guild as well as to figure out whatever was calling to her.(39)
She happened upon Y'shtola while traveling from Limsa to Gridania and had a pretty bit internal "jdjdmrndkd not to be bisexual, but by the gods!" Moment.
Reaches Gridania and gets caught up in this adventurer crap when all she wanted to do was learn new plants and maybe quiet the voice in her dreams.
As an aside, she hates both the lancer and conjurers guilds quite a bit. Folques is definitely alive in her canon and she never formally joined the conjurers guild because talking to them for two minutes gave her weird cult vibes. She gets the white mage stone because she just happened to be nearby when the Senna siblings are performing the Quieting on the Guardian Tree and she steps in to help.
Misc
Charm points: beauty mark, floppy ears, thighs
Glam necessities: spiderlily hair clip and moonlet earring are a must for all glams (aside from RDM, That gets the little Ladys Crown). Thighs must be visible, so long skirts and pants are no good.
One of the gifts of her Echo is that she is basically immune to harsh climates, absolutely worrying people around her as she bounds through snow fields in shorts. She is unaware that this is Echo related and mostly just shrugs it off.
She 100% let Estinien show her all around Radz-at-Han before pointing out which apartment she lived in before travelling.
Frey is a manifestation of Azem, Asteria. She doesnt realize this til SHB (I love the DRK questline but this works so much nicer for her and Asteria both)
She had unspoken feelings for both Minfillia and Ysayle, so when Zenos nearly killed Y'shtola in the beginning of Stormblood she refused to leave her side, especially since she hadnt confessed yet. Many of the events of Stormblood were handled by my two other OCs, Sumire Everbloom (Au'ra, Female,of mixed Xaela and Raen parentage who lived in Kugane) and X'showa Nuhn(Miqo'te, Female. Lead an all female tribe in Ala Mhigo, given the name title of nuhn as a loving joke from her tribe), both Scions.
Aymeric she fell hard and fast for and had confessed toward the beginning of HW.
Her relationship with Haurchefaunt is pure "bisexual chaos siblings"
G'raha did have a crush on her, but then Lyco made an offhand comment, a bit wistfully, about how like her sibling G'raha was, so that died down pretty quickly. They are extremely dear to each other though, and Lyco always calls him Raha.
Despite dating, Y'shtola always refers to Lyco as Lycoris, and Lyco never calls her Shtola. Its a power dynamic thing, probably. Y'shtola likes that Lyco doesn't expect her to settle in one place or demands Y'shtola prioritize her over Y'shtola's work. There's a mutual respect and understanding that if need be, they will break up if interferes with either or their duties, but they cherish each other. People half married to their work are Lyco's type, it seems.
The only other person in the Scions who calls her Lycoris is Urianger. Incidentally, she was invited to join Urianger and Moenbryda for a night once but Lyco declined because -gestures at ARR Urianger- that man is wearing an ear fitting potato sack
She regrets it daily.
She views the twins as her own siblings and is fiercely protective of them. She will almost always sleep in close proximity to them while camping in case there's an ambush.
Thancred was someone she had a hard time understanding and getting along with for a long time, but as of Shadowbringers they're sort of bros? She picks on him the most after Estinien, so she definitely enjoys his company
Estinien and Lyco are constantly taking jabs at one another, but, yknow, they both love Aymeric. Get along infinitely better than they act, massive respect for one another.
Tataru finds every way she can to monetize the Warrior of Light. Meet and Greets. Merch. Artsy pin ups (Tataru sent the first copy of THAT book to Aymeric) Lyco lives for it.
