i need to be honest tho, tumblr has been feeling kind of overwhelming lately (the dashboards, the constant takes, the anonymity) so i’m turning off anonymous asks and i won’t really be checking the dash anymore
this is gonna be more of a quiet, personal space for me now. just my little corner to post art, fics, edits
on a much happier note (!!!): i’m going to med school. i’m heading to georgetown (which is ironic considering my very serious campaign for azzi to be a washington mystic 😭 but we move!!)

I think (honestly) things feel really heavy in the world right now. My girlfriend can’t drive because she’s an immigrant and can’t even risk a parking ticket. I’m scared of what the future looks like, for her, and for my country.
So I did the only thing that felt within my control: I wrote the sweetest, lowest-stakes fluff I possibly could.

I’ve been a little offline for a while, both from Tumblr and from basketball. I’m not really keeping up with games or discourse right now (probably won’t until the draft), so my fics aren’t responding to current events or recent performances.
My stories are inspired by real-life people, but the characters live in their own AU. Their personalities, arcs, and choices are based on what makes sense inside that universe, not on who Paige or Azzi are in real life. That’s all laid out in my masterlist, and people who’ve been around longer usually know this (but I realize some of you are new, so I just wanted to say it clearly)
I’m also noticing the community feels a bit different than it used to, and I’ve gotten some comments/anons that feel very tied to real-life projections. I want to gently say: I don’t know these women, and I’m not making statements about their real ambition, emotions, or inner lives.
I genuinely wish them health, happiness, and success. And by any objective measure, they’re doing just fine.
Apparently something sports-related was touchy recently (I didn’t even know someone had a bad game), but… that happens. It’s happened before. Careers are long, uneven, and human. Everything is not collapsing.
I think we’re all a little tired right now. America is exhausting, life is heavy, and it’s easy to pour a lot of emotion into things online. But these are fictional stories meant to explore vulnerability not doom. And life does get better.
Anyway. If something in my universe doesn’t work for you, that’s okay. But please read it as what it is: fanfiction, in an AU, written with intention and care, not commentary on real people.

I’m good, I’m kind of just enjoying my free time right now, traveling with my girlfriend, doing things, being offline on purpose. So i’m not really on tumblr and i’m not keeping up with basketball or anything like that.
When i get back to college (probably later this month) i’ll come back here. But for now i’m taking a little break, and honestly it might be a longer one. From what my mutuals have told me, things have been kind of stressful around here, so maybe it’s better if we see each other after the draft.

I missed sharing stories with you, and I missed talking to you all.
Moving forward, I’m not going to be talking about basketball, because that space just isn’t healthy for me anymore. I’ll be sticking much more to my fic and writing tags (that’s the part I actually love and that makes me happy)
I’ve been writing a lot over winter break, and hopefully I’ll be able to post some things next week. Fair warning to the angst lovers: everything I’ve written lately is extremely cute and fluffy (lol) I think that’s because my girlfriend was here for winter, so I’ve been in a very soft mood (my gay ass)
Some life updates: I got two new tattoos, my sister is pregnant (so I’m going to be an aunt!!), and i’m getting a Hopkins interview, which is… actually insane (I’m not getting into Hopkins let’s be real, but even getting an interview feels wild to me) And honestly, it’s making me even more confident about the possibility of ending up at Georgetown.
Mostly, I just want to say that I missed you & I missed writing for you.
