Jericho quickly noticed the reaction from the fellow stranger, obviously it was something to do with his mask.
"Do not worry, I mean no harm." he replied.
“Please, do not let the mask scare you.” the mysterious one suggested.
╰✿╮ ⇢ "S--S--Sor--ry..." Rin's speech was unclear and messy, but the gist of his apology should have been able to reach the stranger's ears. His violet eyes stared upwards nervously, though on the outside he continued to cower, even if he was told not to let the mask scare him.

"Greetings friend, is there something I could help you with?" Jericho offered the arriving stranger.
╰✿╮ ⇢ "N--N--No-- sir..." Rin's voice was a mere whisper, the intimidating look of the masked man was enough to get him to cower away.
His senses were trained to be acute. Ears were supposed to pick up even the smallest most scurrying across the floor, and yet they hadn’t registered the boy’s arrival. Gold optics studied him—what harm could he really be? Altair couldn’t just turn him away. No, no, he needed attention.
“Are you able to stand up on your own?”
╰✿╮ ⇢ Blood clung to the corner of his lip-- from coughing it up, and not being wiped clean. The rest of it lay on the back of his hand. His strength was limited, and very low, but if he tried he could indeed get up. "Y--Ye--s..." He struggled, fingers grabbing onto the nearest object to help steady himself as he got up-- though knees buckled and he ended up right back on the ground, panting.
—The sound of someone hacking in his private domain caused the white-clad frame to whirl around, sharp eyes scanning around the room. How the other had managed to work his way in here was beyond him. But it mattered not, not when he seemed to be ill in this way.
”… Are you all right?”
╰✿╮ ⇢ Truthfully, Rin sneaked inside this room to gain shelter from the harsh weather outside. He felt horrible for 'breaking' and entering, but it couldn't really be helped-- he didn't want to die tonight. In the corner he huddled, hoping he'd stop coughing soon so that he'd not be noticed, but it all went to vain. He glanced up at the intimidating man, cowering away from him. "Y--Y--Yes... S--Sir..."

— ღ —;; Swiftly looking through her backpack, she hands over the handkerchief to him, a big smile tugging her lips. “Handkerchief?”
╰✿╮ ⇢ Rin rubbed his nose with the back of his hand on pure habit-- he stared at the extended handkerchief in disbelief, though he didn't take it. "I--I'm-- D--D--Dirt--y..." He whispered, not wanting to ruin the kind-looking girl's piece of cloth.
╰✿╮ ⇢ "A--Ahh-- Ahhh---Choo!"
He’s always on his own. He was born alone, lives alone, and he’ll die alone. One look at him should be enough to tell you as much.

╰✿╮ ⇢ If only he could afford the bottle of bills he needed to help his illness go away— then he could be fixed up in no time, and no longer be in pain. He was saving up money— in a little pouch that was attached to his left hip. It didn’t have that much money in it as of right now, but soon he’d certainly have enough to buy that medicine he needed. As he sat near a building, huddled up with his hands covering his mouth, another one of his frequent coughing attacks sprung up.
