A woman slowly climbed the steps. New York City at night was visible through the building's panoramic windows. The closer she got to her destination, the louder she heard the song 'Fly Me to the Moon' from inside.
Only when she approached the closed doors, she remove the mask from her face and the heavy belt from her doll-like waist. Before she could even press her palm to the recognizer on the wall, the doors opened right in front of her nose, eliciting an unexpected sigh. The man who opened the doors looked at her with trepidation and said,
"I've been waiting. They told me you'd arrived just after midnight."
She looked at him with the same trepidation and replied in her most tender tone, the one she used only when she with him,
"I know... I just got held up in the medbay."
He took her hand and led her into the room from which the music was coming.
"Everything okay? I hope it's nothing serious?"
She turned to him with a faint smile. "No, it's fine. It's just a silly scratch on my shoulder. They worked hard to make sure there wasn't a scar."
Man carefully lifted the collar of her uniform to look at her left shoulder. Woman intercepted his hand after a few seconds. "Bucky... I told you it was nothing."
Bucky looked at her with a slight reproach in his eyes. "Last time, your 'nothing' was a wound to the solar plexus. And I don't know about you, Milena, but for me, that incident was serious, not 'nothing.'"
She looked at him guiltily, but before she could say anything, he took her right hand in his vibranium one and placed his other hand on her waist, leading her in a light dance.
She looked at him with a glint in her eyes. "I really like this song..." Bucky chuckled with a smile on his face. "I know, that's why I put it on." She gave him another rare smile, relaxing in his arms.
"Honey, I just found out something... Parker's alive, it turns out." Immediately after his words, Milena's smile faded, and her face took on its usual stern look.
"Parker? That little brat. If he's with that little tailed bitch, then I'll just..." Bucky stopped her stream of words and put a flesh finger to her lips. "Yeah, I know. And Steve's already working on it."
Couple turned their heads toward the panoramic window, looking out at the New York skyline at night. Glowing letters in the distance immediately caught their eye. 'Stark Industries.'
Milena whispered, without looking away. "You're not thinking the same thing, are you?" Bucky, also looking at the glowing letters, whispered back. "I'm starting to think..."
