some astrologers describe the effect of the progressed moon as quite similar to that of the transiting saturn. it’s no coincidence that it takes the progressed moon a similar amount of time to return to its natal sign as saturn - the saturn return happens when you’re like 28 and the progressed moon when you’re 27-28.

check your progressed moon and which house it’s currently transiting or about to transit for some insight about which area of your life is in the spotlight. you’ll feel weirdly attracted to that part of life and your mind will focus on questions related to it. it’s a lot likely for you to start realizing some of your thought processes and models connected to that area of life that were remaining hidden from you till now. if you’re not usually connected to the more invisible dimensions of your consciousness (like, you don’t spend much time in introspection), the transit of the progressed moon through some house will most likely signify a big outside event that will force you to think about the topics related to it. also you’re most likely going to make contacts with people connected to that part of life, f.e. if it starts transiting your third house you’re gonna start talking more to your neighbors or smth like that.

right now my progressed moon is moving through my 9th house and is about to enter the 10th really soon (the houses in the progressed chart, not my natal one). my mind has been mostly occupied by thoughts about the higher dimensions of life, spiritual studies, if there is some higher power, ethics, very 9th house stuff like that. actually when the progressed moon first moved into my 9th house was when i started writing and teaching about astrology here. and when it entered my 8th house, i started having more sex and thinking about sex and realizing my psychological and sexual traumas. it signified the beginning of a very dark time for me. that’s also when i started learning about the secret side of life and about some pretty dark stuff connected to a cult. and i’m feeling that the closer it goes to the 10th house, the more i think about society and how to gain a bigger reputation and to just make a career out of the things that inspire me and that i’ve studied so far. so check the house where is your moon in your progressed chart to see what your mind is about to focus on. it’s esp strongly felt during the first few months of the transit cuz the progressed moon takes about 2 years and a bit more to move through a sign and its energy is most potent in the beginning before we get used to it.

important details of your birth chart: 

no degree of a zodiac sign is the same. see if your sun and moon fall into the first, second, or last ten degrees. that itself gives a different flavor to the placement. look up decans to find out your particular interpretation.

Venus signs

Please note: everyone has the capacity to be loyal, don’t base someone cheating on you with a whole sign. Everyone is different and people are people not their signs.

Aries Venus: The type of venus sign to pursue the person they have romantic feelings for. They’re can be all about the chase, but to a certain point. Eventually if the person doesn’t show they like them back then they will move on. In a relationship though they can be very commited. They love to play around with their partner, someone to laugh with them. They can be very flirty, and are very direct with their feelings. They like honesty above all else, and crave spontaneity.

Taurus Venus: Such sweet babies, they love cuddling,massages, food, they’re all about comfort. They tend to like more romantic dates like each at home with a candle lit dinner or they sometimes if in the mood like cooking for you or with you. They’re all about the 5 senses. They also can be rather possesive, but if developed it’s not an unhealthy amount of possesion. They are rather protective of their loved ones and can get jealous easily even if they don’t express it to you. The thing about Taurus venus is that it can take a long time for them to get comfortable with you. They like to take the relationship slow and get to know you as a whole. You would probably be able to tell they like you if they get rather close to you physically, and if there’s a long lingering touch.

Gemini Venus: Since Gemini is ruled by Mercury, They can be attracted to people who are rather witty in conversation. People who are rather playful and flirty with words as this is how they love. Since Gemini is an air sign in the placement of the planet Venus. As all air venus’ can rather develop possibly mulitiple crushes. But as I said the word can, it’s a possibility. But Gemini’s are a rather loyal sign as well. So once in a relationship they do love their significant other a lot. To attract a Gemini Venus try and show some interest in the things they like or rather their knowledge.

Cancer Venus: They’re the type of venus sign that listens more to your actions than your words. They are a rather loyal sign, and just like Capricorn Venus can be rather thoughtful with gifts to loved ones. They love thoughtful gifts that you put your time and effort and heart into. With their significant other, they can be the sign as to give the silent treatment when upset to get them to pay attention to what’s bothering them. Just like Taurus venus they love cuddling and lots of quality time with their significant other. They also really value their family, so if you meet their family it means a lot to them.

Leo Venus: They love people with all their heart. Since Leo is a fixed sign they can be very loyal when in a relationship. In a relationship they LOVE attention. When inlove they can be the type of sign to show you to the whole world (PDA, or talking about you). They like feeling appreciated, just as they like to give the time and energy to appreciate you. They are also rather playful and fun as a venus sign.

Virgo Venus: Virgo Venus are the venus sign to pay attention almost everything about you even the little things. The sweet thing about this is that with gift giving they would probably be the person to take notes when you mention the littlest thing you want/ things you are interested in to get you the perfect gift. Libra Venus: Very Charming people, and very flirty. They’re the type of person who gets crushed on constantly because, people mistake their flirting as serious and think they’re interested in them when really they’re just having fun. This goes for all air signs though( but i’ve noticed it more in Libra Venus). They like equality in a relationship and romance. They aren’t a big fan of people getting aggresive at innapropriate times, because they know when there is a time an place to not be peaceful. They can be rather popular in friend groups, and tend to have a lot of friends since Libra is an air sign. Can be rather loyal.

Scorpio Venus This is the sign that if they say they would kill someone for you they love you. They can be rather intense but, very loving to their significant other/crush. They are the sign to look up things about their crush before getting into anything too serious. They can be rather possesive, if developed a good amount that isn’t to a point of being unhealthy. They can be very sensual beings, it’s all or nothing with this venus sign placement. They tend to love more darker taste in things, or things more towards the occult( depending on the house placement and the aspects).

Sagittarius Venus: What sweet babies, they love going on adventures with their loved one and can be very commited. They like to grow through their significant other when in a relationship. They like to keep things light hearted and happy. They love to experience things with their partner. They’re rather very friendly and loving. They can be the person who likes their space( it can also not be the case depending on the house and aspecting planets). When in a relationship with them keep an open mind and listen to their rants and belief systems. They are rather philosophical creatures who enjoy experiencing the wonders of what the universe has to offer. They can also be rather blunt with their partners, or their love interests about what they want.

Capricorn Venus: Such thoughtful babies. They show their love by thinking of thoughtful gifts for you, and doing so much that it all they want is for you to show your appreciation once in a while is all they ask. They can love money but it’s not that important for them to have a significant other with loads of money. All they care about is that you listen and pay attention to them, and love them as they love you.It can take a lot for a Capricorn Venus to open up to you, or trust you for that matter. The reason is they can be rather picky about who they date because they take relationships very serioiusly. That doesn’t mean they can’t have fun, and be goofy as well. They are the type to endure in relationships, they want a relationship that lasts a long time. Also it’s very hard to get a Cap Venus to express their love for you/like you. They may try not to show too much they like you because they are afraid of getting hurt. Also they can be attracted to people who are more mature with how they handle situations.

Aquarius Venus: Aquarius venus when they like you act aloof, this is because they are terrified of getting hurt. Like Capricorn Venus they take relationships VERY SERIOUSLY, they are both ruled by Saturn after all. Aquarius venus is attracted to people who are rather weird and have no problem showing it to you. They also be very playful if they want to be. They love their friends SOOOO much and would do anything for their loved ones. Some posts says stuff like “detached” but that rarely happens for Aquarius Venus. It can, but it really depends on the person and if they’re developed or not. But generally Aquarius Venus natives feel a lot of love for their loved ones. They tend to want to be friends with someone and get to know them before pursuing a relationship with their crush.

Pisces Venus: Sometimes these natives have problems seeing the flaws in the person they are dating. People with this placement I’ve noticed may tend to be attracted to people who are either younger or older than they are. They feel unconditional love towards their loved ones usually. They may be more attracted to people that may need “help” or “saving” in some form, or wallflowers. You may day dream about romance a lot. You could be attracted to people who are rather spiritually inclined. Pisces Venus are generous but to a point, don’t push them, don’t mistake their love for weakness.

the difference between applying and separating aspects in the natal chart

When a faster planet is approaching the exact degree of an aspect with a slower planet, that aspect is applying. When a faster planet is departing from the exact degree of an aspect with a slower planet, that aspect is separating.

These two stages on either side of an exact aspect present an arc in its effects: application is a process of initiation, accumulation, and construction; exactness is the peak, the culmination, the purest tension or purest ease, crystallized; and separation is a process of release, resolution, and dissolution.

These stages are most pertinent to predictive & electional astrology. To differentiate between the “future” and “past” effects of an aspect allows an astrologer to fine-tune their interpretation of the way potential events unfold between the push and pull, ebb and flow of each planet’s influence.

In a natal chart, it works a bit differently. The human personality is not as linear as events in time. The popular description is that applying aspects may have an increasing or greater effect as the native gets older, while separating aspects may have a decreasing or lesser effect as the native gets older; but strength of planetary influence in context to age is something better represented in predictive methods like returns, profections, and progressions. The natal chart is stagnant and foundational, and it is relevant no matter how old someone is. Its contents can’t be isolated to any stage of life. The energy of an aspect always pertains to the native’s behavior no matter how old they are or where they are in their personal development, and the ‘stage’ of an aspect has influence over its energy on a psychological level.

Applying aspects in a natal chart are proactive and receptive. The planets involved look ahead, they anticipate, they expect, and most importantly, they try to act in advance. They are often more “on edge” about their circumstances due to an inherent uncertainty, but this also makes them more aware and sometimes more in control. They are inclined to search for opportunities, so they tend to focus more actively on things that have yet to happen.

Separating aspects in a natal chart are reactive and reflective. The planets involved see things most clearly in retrospect. They are in constant review or recollection; they linger, but at the same time, they are more willing or more fluid, able to work with their circumstances. They are inclined to search for lessons, so they tend to focus more actively on things that have already happened.

The faster-moving planet is most often the more conscious entity. It is creating the condition of the aspect so it feels it to a greater extent than the slower-moving planet, which may be the force that “offers the opportunity” or “teaches the lesson” according to the point of view of the faster planet.

It is generally much easier for the native to take charge of their applying aspects; behaviors associated with applying aspects have a more malleable nature, open to change, whereas behaviors associated with separating aspects are a lot less “conscious” or feel less self-generated. Separating aspects may often be over-contextualized – the planets involved are less poised for accountability and may want to look outward for explanations & answers, while applying aspects view themselves in a light of self-centrality where their actions are very significant. Applying aspects are, overall, more influential over the native’s psyche than separating aspects, because they are developing within the native’s sense of self and within reach of their will. Separating aspects have already developed outside the native’s power or awareness. Applying aspects represent what you believe you can do (perspective of control and opportunity), and separating aspects represent what you believe has been done to you, around you, or beyond you (perspective of coping, learning, overcoming or adapting).

Of course, the specific planets themselves have to determine the particular meaning of whatever angle they find themselves in, and each one may react differently to the condition of their aspect. Application & separation aren’t going to change the nature of a planet; the planet is simply placed in a different point of view and it will choose to behave accordingly. For example, Mars in a separating aspect does not suddenly become passive or prone to give up – it may actually lash out more intensely. When Mars applies, it believes it has the authority or liberty to do whatever it wants, because the results are not set in stone. When Mars separates, it may feel that the other planet has taken control away from it, or that its opportunity for control has slipped away, because it detects a pattern or set of results that it didn’t get the chance to dictate for itself; this can be threatening, and can create harsh rebelliousness in Mars.

The application & separation of an aspect determine its perspective, above all. The planets are positioned to perceive each other, as well as their shared circumstances, in a certain way. When the planets come into contact, they shift each other’s focus. That is partly what aspects measure. This focus is captured in a birth chart, halted and preserved in an individual’s psyche, despite any of their circumstances or experiences. Even if the effects of an aspect change as the native matures, the focus is a permanent psychological fixture. That is ultimately true for all natal placements.

PLUTO ASPECTS IN SYNASTRY

I noticed long time ago that Pluto was romanticized in tumblr astrology, much like Scorpio. I don’t really know whether that comes from the lack of life experience with Plutonic relationships or simply because of humans’ need to feel something deeply, strong and transformative, but whatever Pluto touches it is never easy to handle, even if the aspects are ‘positive’ or ‘lighter’. If you were born with lots of aspect of your personal planets to Pluto, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The need to merge with the Universe, to chew the soul and spit it out, that is Plutonian trait and the process, although deeply transformative and definitely full of potential for growth, hurts like open wound. Hades, Pluto, the Lord of Underworld, does belong to the myth of Hell. But the Hell you’ll experience, is within your own being. No, you can get prepared. Yes, it will scar you for life.

But that is, ultimately, the reminder of growth.

I’ll write here only about Pluto’s aspects to personal planets, because Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are generational planets and their mutual contacts have more impact on the collective and mundane level rather than personal.

So, if your or your partner’s Pluto creates an aspect to the other person’s personal planet(s), you’ll most likely feel that energy deeply and it can even become obsessive in some cases. But who is ‘the obsessed’ one? The answer is - both people. But make no mistake .Pluto person always calls the shots, although it can seem - especially if planets it touches are Mars and Venus - that the other person is the leader of the game. And the game it is,

PLUTO - SUN ASPECTS (conjunction, trine, sextile, square, opposition)

The attraction is immediate and the Pluto person is the one who seems ‘magnetic’ to the Sun person. Pluto loves the light of the Sun person but it admires it as a spectator. They are drawn to each other and Pluto will let the Sun person - especially if Sun is in dignified position - to express their personality and will play at their pace. But to a degree. What Pluto wants is power and when they decide that the Sun person has had enough space to play, they’ll grab them and suck them into their world. This connection can be highly productive if we talk about trine or sextile, because it helps both people explore their strong points. With square, it can turn into a battle of egos - Sun will try to get it their own way - and fail eventually, because Pluto doesn’t do ego. It deals with the essence of one’s being. This type of synastry doesn’t necessarily have to be between the lovers, but all sorts of life partnerships. They can even seem to ‘hate’ each other but in reality, they can create miracles when their power is united. In case of conjunction it can go both ways, depending how ‘healthy’ the Sun is. The Dark and Light, the Sky and the Underworld, they merge together and both sides have lots of going on - this is one of the most powerful synastry connections in my experience.

PLUTO - MOON ASPECTS

Gentle nature of the Moon ‘stands no chance’ if the native’s Moon squares their partner’s Pluto. It’s not restriction, it’s pure fear. Can it survive? Of course it can, but the battle here is more on a subconscious level. The Moon person feels the energy of Pluto almost at a physical level, it disturbs its peace, it creates floods and droughts in their soul. They are thirsty for Pluto’s love, but with every drop they get more and more overwhelmed. It takes the whole chart to see how two people work together of course, but with harsh aspects of Moon to Pluto, the struggle is inevitable. Trines and sextiles create powerful emotional bond and somehow ‘karmic’ feeling even if that’s not the case. The intensity is what they both desire, it is what they will get even if their relationship does not translate onto the physical level. They will breathe together if Pluto person decides it’s what they want from the Moon person, they will not be separated easily. But the bond is real and the two can form some sort of ‘sanctuary’ with each other.

PLUTO - VENUS ASPECTS

Oh, the thunder in your bones. The sound of storm in your mind. Pluto person HAS to touch the Venus person, they have to OWN them. Sexual attraction is so strong that it can be felt and it’s palpable. It’s a game they both willingly play, Venus pushing Pluto away (in case of square of opposition), Pluto coming back every single time, even if the whole life and years of separation are between them. If they get into a physical relationship, it’s the one they’ll remember their whole life. There’s nothing casual about it. It’s all or nothing, it’s the blood-boiling, mind-fogging, ‘I’ll die for you’ type of connection. It’s not for everybody and some dark, even violent stuff can happen (I’m NOT saying they will, it’s just that sometimes they do) Venus person is a slave to Pluto’s desire, but they both want that contact deeply.It can be the most rewarding or most soul-destroying experience of their lives. But you can’t ignore it. I’ve noticed that many of these relationships are connected with some sort of taboo - but attraction is so strong that nothing can hold the two people back, not all the red flags in the world. If you’re one of the lucky - or miserable ones -who had the chance to feel this type of synastry, you’ll get immediately what I’m talking about. You want each other on such deep level that it can’t be transformed into words.

PLUTO -MARS ASPECTS

Battle of the titans. In case of trines or sextiles, both people feel empowered and strongly driven to one another. Their goals become one, their desires and passion are in sync. If we’re talking about squares or opposition, it can go from zero to 100 very quickly. Again, if sex is involved -and with Pluto it often is - it can be mind-blowing. But many people who are not in sexual relationship have this aspects between their Pluto and Mars and there is always some sort of battle going on. Mars wants things NOW, Pluto wants them REAL. Thread carefully here. Power is one thing, strength can come from all parts of human nature.

What if you have more than one, or mutual Pluto - inner planet aspects? What can I tell you, you’ve probably realized it yourself by now - you won’t let go of that person easily. The only advice I can give is - don’t resist. Try to observe and act accordingly. And no, you are not doomed. This, like everything else in your chart, is a blessing if you’re willing to keep your eyes open and mind clear (as much as possible)

Pluto in 1st: You embody Pluto itself and everything it stands for. Throughout your life you may have felt targeted and dissociated from the world. You saw what others could not at such young age. Since such early years you were indulging in the dark secrets and the raw intentions of the evil and you for sure saw what was suger-coated from everyone else. You were that one kid that was different from the crowd and perhaps isolated as well. You were drawn into the darker interests since youth perhaps you liked much more darker items and toys when you were young maybe you were in that environment. The darker things comfort you. Your self worth has been challenged because of the jealousy and darker energies that hated you and wanted you in despair for some apparent reason. You don't know who you are. Recently I went down a rabbit hole reading @IJaadee's tweets and threads on Twitter again and came across some very interesting points I'd like to bring to Tumblr to discuss! There will be some observations from my own perspective too:)

1. I always tell people to never overlook their 2H, 10H is more fixated on the idea of power and higher positions but 2H is where you see rly your ca$hflows and how you earn money.

-> This is why Water Rising are usually very famous or at least thrive in the media industry. They have their 2H in fire signs after all! A lot them tend to also be amazing models. Under the spotlight, they simply thrive.

Pisces Rising - 2H Aries: fast cash, independent income.

Cancer Rising - 2H Leo: stable income, make

money off showing off themselves (literally).

Scorpio Rising - 2H Sagittarius: make money off their own expertise, appeal to a large number of audiences.

2. Jupiter is way more important than you think. It is the planet of abundance, expansion and luck. Think more into the idea of luck, think about how we have no control over it and how lucky we are is not decided by us. Thats why I highly agree with what @iJaadee said below there, stressing on the "without much effort part".

Typically, Jupiter works really well when its placed in 1H, 4H, 5H, 8H, 9H, 11H and 12H and in the signs of Aries, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces.

3. The myth of famous/fame indicator placements. This one has been around the astro community for some time now but its important to mention it again.

Just because someone has 10H/11H stellium or 5°/17°/29°(Leo degree) does not mean that they will become famous. Celebrities like Kim K has a string of indicators in her chart, from her personal planets to the signs its in, to the prominent planet of hers to the very degree and aspects.

eg: Kim Kardashian's Sun is in 11H (community) in the sign of Libra (venus) in 28° (beneficial Cancer degree-household name), her Moon is in 3H (siblings) in Pisces also in 28°. Her MC is also in 28° in Virgo, having Jupiter also in 28° right next to it. And then, her 11H in Libra is also at 28°, 11H ruler-Venus is in the sign of Virgo, in 19° (Libra degree). She also has 10H and 11H stellium. Thats a short analysis and we have yet to discuss the aspects its making.

4. So controversial but I really agree with Jade here. I have never seen a Pisces placement/dominant with a bad nose. Literally never. Somehow a lot of them have the perfect button nose too🥳

5. Time to cool it with the Leo slanders. Somehow these days I see a lot of Leo placements have tried to humble themselves and hide in their shells in fear of being dissed for their prideful nature. Leo placements when younger are prone to having their lights dimmed by haters too so a lot of Leos are actually very reserved:( Don't do this to yourself guys.

🌻Capricorn Rising/Saturn-Ascendant Aspects- GORGEOUS AS HELL PLS. I feel like they get overlooked a lot on how beautiful most of them are. Most of the ones I’ve met look like they could be supermodels...I’m not exaggerating. 

💌Pisces Rising/Neptune in the 1st/Neptune conjunct Ascendant-So cool looking, and seriously have the prettiest eyes ever I stg. I said this on an old post, but they all at least SOMEHWHAT remind me of Luna Lovegood in the best way possible.

🌻Water Dominance-The prettiest people I’ve met so far were water dominant. It kinda sucks, considering I’m air dominant and they tend not to be a fan of that energy, but I love them anyway.

DISCLAIMER: These are all based off of my experiences with those who have these placements.

🌱 Moon in the 11th house could find more solace amongst friends than with their own family and relatives. They might feel more comfortable being emotionally vulnerable only with their close group of friends.

🌱 Sun in the 9th tend to be bookworms or just avid readers

🌱 I’ve found that those with Mercury in the 9th have an interest in learning languages, and tend to be quite good at it too
