TECHNOLOGIC THORIUM REACTOR
this is round 3 of my current ongoing tennis match with YOTTIFFERENT & CASHLOST2. i decided to lean into gay themes for this video because it's pride month, but also because it's a thing big tech execs are vehemently against. i have no way of knowing whether the others will lean into the same thing but i hope they do in the face of what is happening on earth.
i have a habit of including really disparate themes in my videos, mostly uber flashy visuals with subliminal or tragic messages, but this one was the most obvious. it's from the music video for "boy soprano" by xiu xiu. also pictured are scenes from i-be area and the shining, and a vår music video.
this one is a sleeper hit for me. shot from another ryan trecartin movie, K-COREAInc.K, superimposed with both extremely important visual elements from friend Janis's film "VACATE" and a blue circle in the bottom left requested by another friend from Next Year's Snow.
another deep b33k33p3r reference. the quiznos spongmonkeys seem to find their way into a lot of my videos so i thought i would include them here too. they're my favorite little guys. i figured GeneralSouthAmeriK (or in this case, Quiznos Korea) would appreciate it too.
this is the first actually tennis section. the part on the left is from cashlost2's round, the part on the right is the same but dithered and timesliced. i don't remember what the splotches on the left hand side are but i think they look cool.
an extension of the earlier "jej" segment with a crust video and a hella song placed on it. the orange box is a reference to xiu xiu album "a promise", as well as the "JAMIE STEWART?!" soundbyte that plays.
this is my favorite part of the video. i heard this tera melos song recently, "melody 5", and i thought it would sound so fucking good if i added the sammyclassicsonicfan rant to it. and it DID. it sounds like a song that already existed. superimposed are a video of a guy visiting a japanese aquarium and a few things requested from NYS members.
this is the ending. i hate mentioning it's tennis inside the tennis so i wanted to be clever about it, which i think i accomplished. the jpegging was originally not intended, it was a render error, but i got sick of trying to fix it. so now it's part of the video. i think it looks pretty cool! this Majora file screen is from Ben Drowned.
this might be the most fun i've had doing tennis ever. i can't wait for round 666. watch round 333 HERE.
