After the occupation of Algiers by France, Tlemcen pledged allegiance and requested protection from the Sultan of Morocco.

Moulay Abderrahman, Sultan of Morocco, sent them a large quantity of costumes (caftans) but also cannons, mortars, gunpowder etc.

PROOF/SCANDAL : Cultural Appropriation, when a Moroccan Caftan Brand "AMORA CAFTAN" exposes an algerian " Nahla TV" journalist for lying and appropriating their creations.

Amora Caftan, the Moroccan brand that sold this piece to the algerian journalist NahlaTV made a statement on her stories confirming:

1) The maison de couture sold the piece to the lady.

2) They finds it disrespecful to use her piece of a Moroccan heritage clothing for her own propaganda.

3) The Caftan " Nahla TV " is wearing in Istanbul 🇹🇷 telling people it's an Ottoman / Algerian dress is by Amora Caftan a Moroccan brand.

4) Nahla was in vacation in Morocco in 2022 looking for Moroccan dresses to buy AND making fun of Moroccans.
