They really are cutting out all the stuff that makes the League seem human, aren't they? Them living in squalor and surviving off stolen dollar-store snacks hammers in that they are suffering because of society rejecting them, them cleaning out the CRC gives them credence as people who will actively destroy bigots, and people who will stand by and avenge the suffering of one of their own, and without Sako's sushi complaint there's no setup for Shiggy's first thought upon victory being to fulfil his teammate's (friend's) mundane pipe dream. Little scenes that show them to be loyal, just, and human. Without all that they're just... the bad guys.

Istg the MHA fandom has a goldfish brain because every two chapters people rediscover that the story is about Deku and Shigaraki and the failures of hero society.

Don’t get me wrong, the kids and the wholesome school shenanigans are fun and important! I understand why people want to see more of it! Nothing wrong with that! But you’d think that after the MVA arc, the war arc, the post war arc, and so on, people would start to realize what kind of story Horikoshi is trying to tell.

Don’t worry guys, Deku will eventually reunite with his old classmates! He still loves them! But for the past hundreds chapters, Horikoshi showed us that UA and hero society as a whole are extremely flawed damaging systems. So for one, I’m glad that Deku is stepping away from this mess to find his own answers.

Yes, this is the end of an era, and yes, things will probably never be the same. But it’s definitely not coming out of nowhere! This what the story was always about! This is why MHA is so unique and different from most shonens! We should celebrate this! :D
