We got quite the surprise at our anatomy scan on Monday. The ultrasound tech asked us if we wanted to know the sex, & we said we thought we already knew. Well, apparently we didn’t because our son was shown to us :) this whole time we were sure it was a girl, even with the other technicians blessing! 2 months & several shopping trips made for a girl later, we realized we were told a different sex and ran with it. My husband tried to call everyone he knew right when I found out, and I laughed hysterically for like 10 minutes lol! I was a little sad to depart with the idea of our little girl *this* time, but I’m already in love with our little baby boy bean <3 I mean, who wouldn’t be ?! Look at his perfect face :) proud mama already ! Can’t wait to hold him in my arms in February

4 months--down!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog with an entry.

I am so happy to be 4 months along ! Hardest 4 months EVAR! Lol. I think I have finally turned a corner, I feel differently than I did for the first 90-120 days of this pregnancy.

It has not been sunshine or rainbows. My body has had a very difficult time keeping food down on the regular. I’m amazed at my belly! It really has popped in the last 2 wks.

I have had immense food aversions…I pretty much hated EVERYTHING. I had to force food down, and even then I wouldn’t finish most of it. My work has been very understanding about me missing so often, & now that I’m feeling better I’m happy I can dedicate more effort to it again.

Food in general sounds AMAZING now, & I have been frequenting Culvers pretty often lately. Burgers with no bun & fries NOMMMM. Baby Piper loves her some American food now. She also has a particular hankering for Chinese food, oddly enough.

The 23 is the day of our anatomy scan (next Monday). We get to make super sure that Piper is a girl, & most importantly check to make sure everything is developing the way it should.

My birthday week is next week, too; yay! Having a get together with all my work friends, husband is planning a party with all our weekend friends (mostly his best buddies from work who have become our family since deployment), and our own solo celebration with Mommy&Daddy&Piper at PF Changs, too! We’re very blessed and I’m so thankful i have excelled at my job, which has allowed us to have a great celebration this year. Not only that, but Daddy isn’t deployed this year ;) we have two years’ worth of birthdays to celebrate !!

Good things to come for our little family—right around the corner is Halloween, and I can’t wait to dress this baby bump up as something super fun !!

Glowing ??

I have been getting the most odd compliments from people all week. All day today, I heard I'm "glowing" I've also been hit on, told I looked like I should be a movie star, & that "you're like SO pretty" by the drive through girl at Wendy's. haha so weird !! Definitely flattering...I guess there might be something to the whole "pregnant & glowing" thing! Lol

My belly is popping (:

I've been having weird stretching pains all this week (ill be 12 wks Friday). Today, it looks like my belly is pooching out…but instead of the blubber, it’s getting tight! Yes :) the start of my real bump <3 still have a way to go, but I don’t feel like a Goober rubbing my nonexistent belly anymore ;)
