unfortunate truth of reality is that oftentimes 15 year olds will say/do/believe some stupid bullshit because they are 15 but telling them that they believe that because they are 15 is probably the most counterproductive thing in the entire universe

i remember being 15 and wanting literally nothing more than to be taken seriously and listened to and every thought and feeling i had was dismissed because i was a hormonal teenager. i was well aware at that point that a lot of the things i felt were probably because i was a kid, but that didnt make any of it less real, and being dismissed because of my age 1. did not help 2. did not make me feel better 3. made me angry at and untrustworthy of adults because they refused to listen to me. teenagers are people. kids are people. one of the only major things separating them from adults are experience and wisdom. they have like. you know. interiority

like in YOUR mind you may think youre being helpful by going 'well you're a kid, its not really a big deal, youre okay, youll get over it' but that does not register as "helpful affirmation that everything will turn out fine and the only reason im upset is because of something out of my control so its better to just try and come to terms with it" it registers as 'adult dismissing my real tangible problems and sadness and anger because of my age and inadvertently calling me stupid'

i have FINALLY!!!! gotten the timeline of goddess-touched and fate weavers figured out

now the big question is whether i go the extra mile and. um. name the months.

also for context on why this was SO important and also took so goddamn long for me to sit down and do, here's what the timeline for the end of fate weavers looks like.

The entirety of the 9th month is covered in 1/3 of a chapter set on the 8th, and one (1) sentence set on the 14th. There's a whole time-limited test element to one of the side plots that starts in Goddess Touched and ends in chapter 24 of Fate Weavers.

As you can see, I tried to make the various moon phases fit into the timeline creator I was using (legendkeeper.com, if you're curious) but the way the site works meant that whenever i tried to change said moon phases after adding 60% of the timeline pieces in EVERYTHING got shuffled around horrifically. and also the moon phase length is defined in minutes and offset from the origin of the epoch. which i dont know how the fuck to calculate, mathematically. so those moon phases up there aren't accurate to the textual, plot-important moon phases

it took me damn near 4 hours to input and arrange everything well enough to make sense. and now i have to go back in and find every timeline flag i noted in the full drafts and fix them.

alright. came up with month names. dont love all of them, but i've got plenty of time to come up with better ones, or decide that i prefer the strategy of showing time pass in relation to other events!!

Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*
