STRANGER THINGS (2016 - 2025) Season 5 | Episode 7 "The Bridge"
have you ever lived in a town (or area you see a lot ig) where a popular show/movie was filmed? (i use to live near the town where stranger things was filmed, was jarring to see my hometown in the show)

Yes
No
I absolutely hate the new Tumblr update. There is too much going on.
AO3 is under a DDoS attack meaning that the servers are purposefully being overwhelmed by an attacker. Please do not refresh ao3 related links because each time you do, another request is sent to the servers meaning you are contributing to the DDoS! Wait for the official announcement from their twitter and then visit the site because the servers will keep crashing otherwise!
And so begins the Night of Panic for dogs everywhere.
Sometimes I’m sad, and sometimes I remember that I was somehow given the very best dog in the entire world.
My little brother had to have his spleen removed several months ago due to a 17 cm cyst, so I got him this for his 19th birthday.
Why has Tumblr timetravelled to 1999?
He was a hero and a god. And he should be laid to rest like one.
People who drink coffee: why did you start?
I don't drink coffee and I've never wanted to, but that's obviously ~not normal~, so I'm curious why most people do start drinking it.
Additional question: People who don't drink coffee, why?
For me, it's because, as a child, I was incredibly cranky, and as soon as caffeine-free Coke was introduced, Mom had me start drinking that, and, hey, I got a lot less crabby, so that made me want to avoid caffeine. I also never really cared for the smell of coffee, either, so had absolutely no interest in drinking even decaf.
(and yes I am very aware that "it makes me feel better" and "love the way it smells" are top answers in why people do drink it XD)
12,000 people harmonizing Hey Jude at Pentatonix concert in Des moines
Incredible! Gives me hope that there could be peace on earth
Serious goosebumps
#okay when they all got loud i choked up#i am not immune to the harmony of the masses
the greatest plot point in Teen Wolf is still, without question, the fact that sometimes turning into a werewolf goes wrong and you turn into a lizard instead
Redditors crashed the website with donations over $25k and 0 wishes left. via /r/MadeMeSmile

In response to this event, some redditors created r/charityraid, with the goal of concentrating the power of thousands of users into a single charity at a time to hopefully break a few more sites.
As of 9/21/21, the site has updated with more wishes. The incredible spike in donations is amazing, but if you want to and are able to keep the momentum going, there are over 300 waiting to be filled at https://www.onesimplewish.org!
a lot of these are very basic, small things. i just spent 17 dollars to buy a kid water shoes for a lake vacation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
7/9/22 There are 200+ wishes who need YOU!
I don’t normally tag people but I’d like to send this to @instructor144 to post on positivity day. Maybe it would help crash the site again.
BOOST.

alright so we all talk about how five is taken for granted and how everyone is so quick to blame him every time there’s an apocalypse or something in the time line gets fucked up. and while we all understand how that must hurt, can we talk about the extent to which it’s affecting him?
I couldn’t find a video of this sequence, but remember this? It’s after Five wakes up, hungover from sloane and luther’s wedding. The way he remembers it, he got extremely drunk and said something extremely humiliating or offensive. He remembers everyone staring at him like they either hate him or simply don’t care about what he has to say. It seems like they’re judging him. They almost look disappointed.
In reality, they all lovingly tease him for being a fun and affectionate drunk.
I’m surprised that not a lot of people talk about this scene because there’s clearly still hints of paranoia and insecurity that linger with Five. He has his family back, but their bond is still fragile. He expects them to fall apart and to turn against him, in a sense. He doesn’t think he has their unconditional love. It just makes me so sad that he doesn’t feel entirely loved and appreciated, considering all he wanted in the 45 years he spent alone in the apocalypse was to get back to them. He just wants his family back.
#shout-out to sir reginald for managing to fool five for exactly zero seconds
The thing that messes me up about the whole “the butler did it” trope is that we literally have no idea where it comes from.
The earliest known piece of detective fiction in which the butler, in fact, did it? Published in 1930.
The earliest known article calling out “the butler did it” as an egregious cliché in detective fiction? Published in 1928.
Obviously there must have been earlier examples of detective fiction in which the butler did it, but none of them have survived to the present day, leaving us in this bizarre situation where the earliest known callout post about the trope pre-dates its earliest known actual use by a full two years.
