It was a stormy night, I had just finished my second read of the entire Throne of Glass series. My heart is in tatters and my eyes are full of tears. I slide into bed, ready to dream of Erilea - mind racing through the adventure we’ve been on with Aelin and everyone else.

I slowly drift off to bed … when suddenly a thought strikes me. My eyes fly open at this loose end in the story. I sit up, throwing the covers off.

WHERE’s VAUGHAN AND WHAT WAS HE DOING THE ENTIRE TIME THE WHOLE CONTINENT WAS AT WAR?????

Okay so I’m pretty sure he’s the stranger that Az and Cas are talking to at Starfall in chapter 46 of ACOMAF. The timeline would add up and Maeve was a world walker, so it would make sense for her to have booted Vaughan into another world to find allies. It would also make sense that he sought out the most powerful court, with the most powerful high lord, and the most powerful Illyrian warriors in the history of Prythian.

I also think he could’ve been the “charlatan” who drew the wyrdmarks all over the Archeron’s hovel to keep the fae away. It would make sense as to why they thought iron would hurt the fae as well since that would be true in Erilea. 👀

And honestly, with the bond from the blood oath drawn thin from the distance between Vaughan and Maeve, there’s also the chance that he just chose to stay and say to hell with going back to being Maeve’s lap dog 🤷🏼‍♀️.

i LOVE these theories 👀 Sincerely hoping Vaughan shows up in one of the upcoming books bc he has NOT left my mind since I finished the series so long ago 💀

Every once in a while I think of all the loose ends and Vaughan just haunts me.

After completing the entire Maasverse over the past month - I felt compelled to go back to the fantasy books I’ve read when I was younger. There’s just something so comforting in going back to characters and stories that once struck a chord within you and getting to know them once again with new eyes.

She had many fancy titles, came from an impressive lineage AND she definitely loved to preen 😂😂

i’ve just finished my second re-read of Crown of Midnight and nothing - no other book I have read since I first read CoM 10 years ago - can ever ever compare to the sheer sorrow and emotions its ending has given me.

even when i know the full story already - reading that passage again hit me just as hard 10 years later.

OH and i LOVE that i can go straight to the next book now ehehehe i had to wait MONTHS for Ms Sarah to finally publish Heir of Fire 😍
