Hi!! If you're taking requests, can you do an angst with happy ending with any bts member as husband where he says something along "sometimes i regret marrying you". Thanks in advance? xoxo
I am so so so sorry for finally getting to this.
She'd been staring into the computer screen for hours on end, as usual. Her husband, Namjoon looked over and sighed. He had married her for her talents and drive, but he had also wanted a woman to come home to. It felt like she was just getting further away. Sometimes their marriage made him feel... empty. But he knew he had married the woman he loved. So he just kept the feeling at bay.
His wife eventually finished her project. It was her greatest work yet, she was sure of it. As a surprise to her husband, she had dedicated her work to him, with a heartfelt section in the middle. She hoped it would rekindle the romance she had been craving. When she sat him down to read the final copy of the book, her smile faded. He had tears in his eyes. "Baby, what's wrong?" she asked.
"It's... beautiful. It's so beautiful and..." he took a deep breath. "Sometimes... I regret marrying you."
His words hit her like a freight train. This couldn't be happening. He had supported her, pushed her to do her best, and she had written the book for him as a gift... a present from the heart.
"What do you mean?" she whispered, her eyes filled with worry.
"Every day I marry you all over again, but at night... when you're gone on your book tours or staying up late, all alone at work..." He trailed off. There was a weight in his voice that she had never heard before.
"Every day I marry you all over again, but at night... when you're gone on your book tours or staying up late, all alone at work... or when I'm touring and I have to say goodbye to you for months... those are the hardest times for me," he said.
With a heavy heart and a shaky voice, he added, "I know you work hard for our future, but sometimes I regret marrying you because of how little time we have together."
She didn't know what to say. She'd worked hard for this future they had built together, but how hard was it on him?
"You know what?" she said, fighting back the tears. "Sometimes... sometimes / regret marrying you because of how much you're gone, too."
Her words stunned him. His eyes widened as he stared at her. How could he have ever been so blind?
"What? What do you mean?" he said, his voice breaking.
Tears ran down her cheeks as she poured her heart out.
"Sometimes... sometimes I feel like I'm raising our kids alone because you're gone for months at a time," she said. "Sometimes I feel like your fans are more important to you than I am because of how much time you spend with them when you're on tour."
The words stung, but she felt better now that she had spoken them. It was like a weight had been lifted off her chest.
Namjoon couldn't argue with that. It wasn't the first time she had brought up her insecurities about his fans. But now he felt terrible. How could he have thought her writing career was somehow the problem? He was the one who was always gone! He didn't realize how much she had put up with.
"Baby," he said, reaching for her hands. "I'm so, so sorry. I don't know what I would do without you. You work so hard for our family and I never realize it, especially when I'm so wrapped up in my own insecurities."
"And I'm so, so sorry about being away for months at a time," he said with a pained frown. "I know how hard it must be to raise the kids by yourself for so long. They miss me, but I never considered how much they miss you too!"
Her heart fluttered as she looked at him. For their entire marriage, she had felt alone in her frustrations. Now, she felt a deep connection forming between them. She felt like they were finally on the same page. And she felt seen for the first time.
They held each other tighter, their hearts racing with emotion. They both felt so stupid for not sharing their frustrations sooner. They promised that from now on, they would be more open with each other and find a better balance of work and love.
They knew that some compromises would need to be made, but they were confident that they would make it work. They loved each other too much to let the distance between them build any more walls. And from that day forward, they never regretted marrying each other again. It was the best decision they had ever made.
