Brent Rademaker of further, Beachwood Sparks & The Tyde brings his new band GospelbeacH over the UK for the 1st time this summer. The touring band features ex-Slowdive and Mojave 3 drummer Ian McCutcheon. GospelbeacH play dreamy American roots music and their new album Another Summer Of Love is out now on Alive naturalsound.

Miranda Lee Richards was a member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. She sang on their albums Give It Back, Bringing It All Back Home Again, and Stung Out In Heaven, and appeared with them in the seminal documentary DIG!. Her music a mix of folk, psychedelia, country and indie pop and her new album Existential Beast is out now on Invisible Hands Music.

NEW RELEASE: TWIN CISTERNS EP

On 31st March Bad Paintings release the Cloudspiller EP by Twin Cisterns. 

Twin Cisterns is the solo outlet of Chris Tenerowicz, a musician best known as a member of the long-running post-punk outfit, Self Defense Family.

Whereas that 15-person rotating line-up of SDF comes with a degree of anonymity, Twin Cisterns allows Tenerowicz nowhere to hide. It's simply him. And on his debut EP, Cloudspiller, courtesy of Bad Paintings, Tenerowicz allows himself the spotlight.

Dreamy, folky and primitive, Twin Cisterns' guitar based instrumental music, conjours visions of James Blackshaw or Warren Ellis' solo work.

Sand County Almanac is streaming on Half Cloth now.

Self Defense return with a new single recorded by Jon Markson at The Gallery in NYC. "Bastard Form" finds singer Patrick Kindlon in his most bitter mindset to date as the instruments rage through rounds of a familiar melody. Side B's "Maybe You Could Explain It To Me" takes us to a more sentimental place with beautiful guitar and piano melodies as Kindlon remarks on all the things you can forget in a day. The release shows two classic dynamics of Self Defense Family in a way that feels new.
