We were drifting apart; pieces of wood, we were once royals like a great ship we stood. But we were only ever made to bend and to break and those who only learn to split what bonds can they make? And in a sea, after dark we watched ourselves drift apart. And neither, for the fear of cold moved their tongues, so no truth was told. And you watched me drift with saddened eyes. I know your expression mirrors mine.

War

She was war

raw, red wounds and pain

All my peace

seemed so far away

thunder struck again

She was disaster

eyes afire, tumultuous desire

beauty held

the coming storm

I was sorrow

heart struck, out of luck

in her joy

she kept me warm

She was death

winter cold

in the unleavened black

I held her close

breathed all my life

until it

brought her back

There was destruction,

and salvation

the pleasure and the pain

We lived, we died

we hoped, and lied

and still

I’d do it all again

No where to go.

Have you ever held on because you have no where else to go?

Begging for positive thoughts to get you through the day?

I can't let you go. Even though i see you dying inside. If your death shall come soon is it because of me. Am I that horrible and im failing to see it?
