Origin of the Heaven co. and Hell corp.

so, new heaven and new earth are made where all the christians are with Jesus and God and whatnot, the Earth was left ravaged by the war between heaven and hell, but some small shred of humanity survived and started anew. Thousands of years later, there they are. Old heaven was left in the care of the angels, their head angel Arkus, kinda rules the place. Hell is the same old hell. The humans that are left, however, no longer have immortal souls; when they die, that's it. Satan decided to profit off of this and began to offer services that could give people immortal souls. Arkus didn't like this, since it was God's idea to strip humans of their immortal souls (to make sure no more humans would have to suffer in hell since Adam's sin had finally been atoned for) so he also starts making deals with people to stop Satan from taking more souls to hell since he's been short on angels since the war. For every soul that they save, they get one year in old heaven before they die for good.

Origin of the Synths

Eventually, a human scientist in Old Heaven found a way to create synthetic angels. At the same time in Hell, another human scientist found a way to create synthetic demons. They were actually brothers. The younger, in Heaven, was grief-stricken because he had saved 50 people, but the only one he couldn't save was his brother. So he devoted his time in Heaven trying to find a way to make it back to him to save him. In doing so, he created the synthetic angels. The older made a deal with the Devil to gain an immortal soul. Now, at this point, Satan was turning humans into different kinds of mindless demonic beasts like gargoyles and such after they came to hell. The scientist, upon learning this, offered his services of science to make artificial demons in exchange for a non-beast soul. Contracts were signed and he had until the end of his mortal life to create these demons. He did and was offered a cushy job as an eternal scientist in hell. He actually originally wanted both himself and his brother to live forever, but his brother refused. So his actual human 'torment' is that all he wanted was to bring his brother to hell to live forever, but he couldn't and now he's got the big sad forevsies.
