I still stopped supporting ST as a "brand", regardless, cause of several things (including one of the other actors being a zi0nist) but I keep interacting with its ao3 (and sometimes tumblr) side of the fandom cause those don't generate any money or revenue towards those people.

Someone already pointed it out a few months ago but people in this fandom (imo due to certain rigid beliefs like "bottoms are always x y and z" with no nuance) tend to forget that Ilya very much likes giving Shane head too and Shane also likes receiving it, not just the other way around. So, i wanna say idk where this re-writing of history (Shane being the only one really into sucking cock) came from but... again, ive got a few guesses... I feel like everyone talks about how great of a father Ilya is gonna be because he's so good with kids so often, that we ignore Shane has THE most dad energy I've ever seen. He's standing beside his kids while they watch TV, claiming he's not watching because he has stuff to do. OKAY in honor of Ilya's birthday here are the Rolexes that Shane buys Ilya to mark his territory commemorate their relationship. Ollie spent a frankly insane amount of time researching Rolexes for this.
According to Ollie this model is vintage circa ~1980. It is a Datejust model, yellow gold with a diamond set bezel and number dial, black leather band and dark blue dial face. This is the watch that Shane buys for Ilya as a territory marker post-Cottage. The one that Ilya proudly wears with his suits into the arena and brags to the others that it was given to him by His Jane. Shane spends several months scouring the second hand market for a watch that he can imagine on Ilya's wrist and which, in his opinion, sends the perfect message of: He is loved and you cannot afford him.

is the Rolex that Shane buys Ilya as a wedding present.
According to Ollie, it is a 2021 Daytona Rainbow in 18k rose gold with a rainbow sapphire bezel and black laquer dial face with diamond-studded lugs and crown, and baguette-cut rainbow sapphires for the hour marks. It is a watch that says LOOK WHAT I BOUGHT MY HUSBAND FOR OUR GAY WEDDING WITH MY GAY MONEY. It costs nearly a million dollars and it is so exclusive that even Shane Hollander, Rolex brand ambassador of a decade, has to practically sell his soul (Agree to be centerpiece in their new campaign*) to get his hands on it. He gets the back engraved with their wedding date, which most watch connoisseurs would consider an ACTUAL crime, but Shane doesn't care. Ilya cries when he sees it and that's all that matters.
* The Rolex campaign in question is the flagship ad for their new "We All Have Crowns" campaign, which highlights a very palatable version of diversity amongst their brand ambassadors. Shane normally would not touch something like this with a 30 foot pole but he REALLY wanted to give his husband that watch. While he's there for the photoshoot a PA ducks her head down next to him and asks him if he would like to meet Taylor Swift who is participating in the campaign as well because it takes its name from one of her songs, of course. He tries to say No Thank You and Yuna says "YES HE WOULD LIKE TO MEET TAYLOR SWIFT. :)"
Hayden refers to the watch as "The Taylor Swift blackmail watch" and Ilya tries to kill him with his mind.

TL;DR: You sign up to create a written work of 1000 words minimum. In exchange you receive a written work of 1000 words minimum. Who you write for and who writes for you remains secret for the duration of the exchange. We enjoy an outpouring of fic and love.
Since this is a Hollanov exchange, I'll cut right through typical nomination periods and go straight to signups. This got super long, so it's going under a cut.
Signups
You signup using the form on AO3 that will be available during the signup period.
For this exchange, matching will be done with both Fandom and Additional Tags. This allows for people who only wish to receive Show canon to choose that option. If you're fine receiving either canon, you can choose both.
You will fill in your Requests first.
Here you choose fandom (Heated Rivalry (TV)/Game Changers Series or both if you don't care about writing/receiving either canon)

Creation period

You can do so by going to My Assignments > Default This will drop your assignment and the person you were creating for will go out as a Pinch Hit

Posting
Go AO3 > My assignments > Fulfill
You will be taken to the 'New Work' form, where you can upload the work as you would any other work. The collection and recipient will be filled automatically.
Remember to post your work! If you save as draft, this will not be available in the collection.
The collection remains unrevealed until Reveals Date, meaning your work will appear as Hidden and Anonymous until reveals, so don't worry if you don't see it under your 'Works' tab.
The mod will approve works as they come.
Work reveals
On a set date, works are revealed but remain anonymous for one week. At this point you can read and comment on your gifts, browse the collection and rejoice on the flood of delicious fic we wrote for each other.
Creator reveals
At this point, creators are revealed! This marks the end of the exchange. Now you can check out all the other works from your creator! From here onwards you can promote your own work openly as the exchange is officially over.

Yes, but only if it was requested by your recipient. You may opt out of Outsider POV by adding it to your DWNs (Do Not Wants)

What is a Pinch Hit?
A Pinch Hit or PH is someone who does not have a creator. An initial PH is someone who does not have a creator from the start.
If you are an initial PH, DO NOT FEAR! Sometimes this happens because of making sure everyone has a good match to create for. The best part of being an initial pinch hit is knowing that whoever creates for you wanted you in specific! And don't worry, you will get a gift, even as an initial pinch hit, so long as you create your assigned work!
PHs will be advertised on DW (Pinch Hit comm) and tumblr (everythinghollanov).
What if someone doesn't have a gift by the deadline?
The Exchange will not reveal until everyone who created has a gift. This might result in a one-week delay. As a mod, I will do my best to ensure everyone gets a gift on time.
What is a treat?
A treat is an extra gift that someone who was not matched to you makes out of the goodness of their heart. If you are open to receiving treats in a different medium, please say so in your optional details. You can opt in to treats in a different medium in your Additional Details (E.g.: Iâm opting in for treats in any medium!)
You are allowed to not want treats or to not want treats in a specific medium. If so, please say it in your optional details! (E.g.: DNW: fanart as a treat)
If you're open to treats, you need to go on AO3 > Preferences >Collections, Challenges and Gifts and tick the box that says "Allow gifts from anyone"
Treats are not guaranteed, but they're great surprises to get!
If you wish to treat someone something different, like fanart or podfic, you are allowed to do so to anyone who has opted in! You can see the details for each request here. Please do not give treats to people who specifically opted out of treats. If you made a treat and belatedly noticed this person does not allow them, you may gift them to the collection.
The minimum for treats is 300 words of fic for written or podficced works. The minimum for fanart is art at the stage of ânice sketchâ on unlined paper (it doesnât need to be fully colorized or rendered if digital, for example).

What's a 'Dear Creator Letter'?
It's an optional post where you can rave about Hollanov, and your likes and dislikes if it did not fit into your signup. You can host it on Dreamwidth or Tumblr ON A PUBLIC POST and link it to your signup. DNWs stated in your Letter but not on your signup will not be enforced.

Request instructions
You may choose to request Book canon or Show canon. Pick both if you would prefer either or a mix of canons would not turn you off. If mixing canons would bother you, use the Additional Details tags and list it as a DNW (E.g.: DNW mixing book and show canon. Just stick to one.)
Select up to 20 additional tags FROM THE TAGSET that you would like to receive. Your creator may choose to combine multiple tags, but they are only required to use ONE to create your work, so choose tags that you would enjoy as the main focus.
Additionally, you can add a "Dear Creator Letter". I know it's technically not but in my heart it is canon that after Shane comes out to his team, he's approached by like five different teammates hoping to hook up on the down low. These guys are all Kinsey 1s and 2s who already thought Shane was hot and figure now that they know he likes guys, they might as well shoot their shot.
The first time it happens, Shane is confused. The second through fourth, he thinks maybe this is some cruel prank being played on him. By the fifth, he's forced to admit to himself that it's possible these guys are being sincere and they actually want to fuck him.
It's at this point he brings it up to Ilya, because it feels like the kind of thing his boyfriend should know about. After a long silence, Ilya asks for their names.
"I can't tell you that," Shane says. "They all approached me in private, they definitely don't want it getting out that they're not straight."
"Then they should not be hitting on my boyfriend," Ilya says sourly.
Shane is unable to keep from smiling, feeling a smug little thrill at seeing Ilya act jealous. "Well, unfortunately for them they don't stand a chance, since my boyfriend is hotter than all of them combined."
Now it's Ilya's turn to be smug. "Yeah?"
"I'm kind of obsessed with him," Shane admits.
And what's Ilya supposed to do about that other than initiate some mind-blowing phone sex?
"Just tell me one thing," Ilya says once they're finished and basking in the afterglow, both of them lying down and holding their phones inches from their faces. "Pike hasn't hit on you yet, has he?"
The instinctive "ew" Shane lets out has Ilya in a happy mood for the rest of the week.
I have this very clear vision of Shane and Ilya in the gym existing in their very own bubble, but like they still interact with everyone it's just that they arrive together and they leave together and everything they do they do as a unit, and someone may chat with them here and there and still it's just one hand movement from Shane and Ilya passes him the water bottle while he is chatting with Wyatt, and Ilya still holds him upright as Shane fixes his shoe while he's talking to Troy, and then the person moves on and they return a unit. Routine is important to Shane, but Shane's routine is where Ilya found space to put down the weight of life and they just feel so friendly but also extremely close off to everyone else in a sense? Like they clearly have their own thing going on.
I can picture so clearly Shane removing his hoodie to start working out and just gesturing for Ilya to do the same, and maybe Ilya argues he doesn't want to yet, and Shane argues back for a few seconds, and so obviously Ilya removes his hoodie too. They hold each other's things while they do reps because Shane doesn't want them to touch the floor? Ilya makes a joke out loud to Bood who is on the other side of the gym and while everyone laughs he turns to Shane, who smiles and raises an eyebrow at him, adding something to the joke only for Ilya to know? Taking turns doing water fountain runs to save time? Ilya "I'm doing legs today" and Shane affronted that "that throws off my whole schedule Ilya" because they need to be doing the same thing on the same days like is anyone seeing my vision?
there are fanfic writers who are: "I want to write about this prompt but other people have already done it before, unfortunately. I would have loved to write it đ˘"
and then there's me who unapologetically writes about the same prompt, same trope (that has absolutely been written by other people before), same ship â in slightly different ways, at least 200 times in across 200 different fics of mine.
