Look at these little red beauties. They were added in May 2019.
if you like shrimp and caves, this video is for you
These same Amanos are still 24/7 little cleaning machines, I haven't added any since I uploaded this video on 22 May 2019.
So after 4+ years of keeping Shy Fish I Hardly Ever See Unless I Sit Still For 5 Minutes, I’ve added a small school of Fish That Are Definitely Not Shy.
I bought all that my LFS had, hoping more come in tomorrow. I’d like to have a dozen or more serpae tetras. My aquarium has never been this lively. And I really needed it changed up.
these serpae tetra are all named Rose Lavelle now
I haven't posted in forever. Here is my 20gal serpae tetra aquarium. I just did a bit of cleaning, trimming & a water change. In the white basin you can see how much I cut out.
I found this rock about 30 years ago in the sandstone foothills outside Santa Cruz, CA. It caught my eye because of the shell bits and impressions. Then I noticed what looked like bird feet impressions. They're even on the sides as well as top & bottom. Another tumblr said it could be fossilized dino poop. Can anyone please tell me what it is, how old it might be and how the foot impressions are also on the sides.
I'm following a few more geology & minerals tumblrs so maybe one of you can ID this. Thanks for any info you can provide. @mineralsandsomerocks @geologyin-blog @drrockclub @rockon-ro @gorgeousgeology
my moss island has an invader but it looks cool so it stays for now
sometimes they glow
bird's-eye view of the serpae tank
Part 2 -- ... it all works out pretty well in the end for the amano shrimp
Part 1 -- I put in 2 pieces of an algae tablet but the tetras found them first
rugby scrums ensue, but...
guys I put a piece of green leaf lettuce in my shrimp tank and it's PEARLING
Serpae Tetra (hyphessobrycon eques)
