I'm not, sorry for the confusion-

I sometimes use the Irish names in the stuff I write because my father's Irish, and I find the mythology and stories fascinating, and fun to learn about.

I'm out of ideas for writing. The creative juices have run dry. I don't really know what I'm doing at this point, so I can't guarantee it's very good. May be used as a rough draft for @teaanon's story. Not sure.

The night had grown dark. The stars vanished one by one, as I gazed up into the abyssal void.

In an instant, I was falling. The earth ripped out from under me, turned on it's head as I fell. Up became down, and floor became ceiling.

Gazing up at the ground, I saw my home. The further I fell, the more I could see. A small town turned into a city, and a city turned into a small valley in the center of a mountain range. The mountain range disappeared into a wall of frost, a wasteland of snow and ice. It, too, eventually disappeared, and I was left alone in the abyss.

I couldn't tell if I was truly falling anymore. I couldn't tell if I was moving. I floated, as if submerged in water. There was nothing above or below me. I felt alone.

I can't say when it happened. How long it had been. It may have been years. It may have been less than a second. I felt ground under me, though I couldn't see it. The darkness around me twisted, shaping itself into the form of a room. I was sat on a chair, facing myself.

I've been... trying to write this short story for a while-- was planning on posting it when it was more complete, but it's been a few months of minimal progress. So, here. Not horror this time. I swear.

The rain was pouring down, as I sat inside, staring at the seascape before me. The night sky was invisible, hidden by the clouds as thunder crashed down. Lightning illuminated the stormy waters, as I closed the blinds. The lantern resting on my desk was all that illuminated the room, as I sat at my chair, my pen resting beside the empty pages of a story as of yet untold. I could hear the quiet whispers of the crashing waves, the soft song of the billowing wind, the gentle creak of the floor as my roommate awoke for a glass of water.

I groaned as I stood from my throne of wood and iron, pulling my cloak around me as I journeyed into the kitchen. There stood my roommate, as tireless as I had ever known her, with a glass and pitcher of the elixir we both sought. The wisps of a conversation are all that remains of our chat, as I confess I had been up for longer than I should have that night. Our silent conversation felt almost ethereal, as I poured a glass of the refreshing drink, glancing to the window. The sound of her voice felt comforting, reminding myself I was far from alone. Her voice grounded me, kept me from floating off into that dark sky within an eternal night.

Creation myth for a dnd campaign I'm dming for.

Long ago, before time, there was nothing. An empty void, that would drive any who looked into it to madness. For there was truly nothing, as much an absence as there was a presence. And suddenly, there was something. Light pierced the nothing, and the nothing became darkness. Something walked through the darkness, holding a construct that seemed to be the source of the light. The bronze torch’s burden. The first, and the eternal. The beginning of beginnings. Tosach, the ethereal. The eternal. The dreaming world’s Wish. And with Tosach was brought their mirror and reflection, the End. Críoch. The silver lantern’s light. The diaphanous. The waking world’s want. As much the Moon’s silver glow as the wind’s gentle blow. One and the same as their sibling, and yet equal and opposite they remain. Together, they created all things.

(Note: Tosach and Críoch are literally just Beginning and End in Irish.)

New writing thing for a project I'm working on. Thinking of doing a first-person version as well. Warning for descriptions of... Not entirely sure what to call it, but it's somewhat similar to the body horror stuff for a bit? Just please don't read this one if that sort of stuff makes you uncomfortable, please- doesn't go nearly as far into it, but still. Also this is mostly subject to change. Consider this a beta of sorts for the story, I guess-?

Long ago, in the age before the gods, massive creatures known as Wyrms roamed the lands. They were as deadly as they were massive, with hulking maws large enough to consume the very skies. They tunneled through the ground, devouring all in their path and wreaking havoc. When you heard the rumbling of the earth, you had two options. Run and pray, or die. Their scales were impenetrable, and they seemed unkillable. Any attempt to do so would assure death, after all. On a night of storms like no other, with fire shattering the heavens in bolts, and ice raining down from the heavens. a group of travelers from a far-off land sought shelter in a cave system, which they soon discovered was coated in warm flesh. As they wandered deeper inside, they found creatures formed from the very walls of the cave. Some were friendly, and kept their distance. Others charged at them, eager for a fresh feast, and attempting to rip them apart and rend them until they were naught but blood. Two of these travelers escaped the cave the next morning, gazing upon the towering mountain to find it rotting. Its flesh was oozing out from behind its scales, and its teeth cracked and burnt. It was no mountain, after all. The corpse of the Wyrm seeped with parasitic life, bursting from anywhere they could get in and tunneling through. Eventually, the winds buried it, and it became the very mountains that surround Wyrmwood today.

All of creation sings to me. I have given myself unto it. Creation and Creator made one. It creeps ever closer. I can hear its glorious voice. I can hear its glorious voice. Here’s something I wrote earlier today, because a friend wanted to see what I’d write with the idea of an undead stalking creature that turns invisible after being seen. Once again, this is horror, and the description might get a bit violent. Please read at your own risk. Might be less body horror with this one, but still please be careful.

She felt the thing’s stare bore into the back of her head, as it crept ever closer. Turning around to find only claws raking across her throat, the smell of rotting meat and decaying muscle filled her lungs as she collapsed backwards. For less than a second, she managed to catch a glimpse of… whatever it was. It might’ve once been human; long ago, before it was made into this… thing. Blackened, decaying, rotting. Arms outstretched in a silent prayer to a silent god, claws sinking into the mud and roots of the forest. It’s face was the worst part. It’s jaw was unhinged, stretching halfway to the forest floor. It’s eyes were too small; almost like beads or buttons. The eyesockets were too large for it’s head, like two giant fleshy red pools with small black orbs at the center. It all felt… wrong. And in the next instant, it vanished, appearing as nothing more than the blood dripping from her throat as she desperately tried to wrap the bandages around her neck before she bled out.

Spoilered because it describes body horror. Sorry if you’re uncomfortable with that, I’ll try not to do it often.

The sound of metal against metal is heard, as… something dragged itself around the corner. Cold steel, overtaken by mangled flesh growing like a tumor. Veins creeping out of every joint and crevice like meaty, bloodied vines. Twisted and snapped bones, ripping apart muscle and machine alike as they protrude from… somewhere within the thing. Where it’s eyes- or, rather, it’s cameras- should be, empty sockets stare back like a dark abyss. Twisted, metallic, fleshy screams echo out through the halls, like an animal in pain. Or, something pretending to be an animal in pain.

you just gotta figure out how to do the mitten thing! (everybody does it differently, so whatever works for you)

make a little mitten shape, a bump for the big thumb muscle, a line for where you want to knuckles to be (and where the fingers end), and you can work out how the hand does hand things~

you can make them more simple or more real, however you want! hands are weird, so don’t worry if they keep looking wrong for a while, once you figure out what works for you, it’ll click. If you practice like 10 or-so basic hand shapes, you can make slight variations on all those, and 10 turns into 20 different hand poses~

Good luck, you can do it, practice until you find your groove, hands are stupid, don’t worry if they don’t look right!

alright so

we really fucking hate doing this, especially since we were already begging for money with another gofundme just a few months ago, but things cannot stop getting worse in our household. our mom is borderline having a psychotic episode everyday, and she thinks she has parasites that only she can see. she is trying to extort us into forcing us to stay in a house she knows damn well why we hate it here. she also threw a dog over a hotel railing during a PSTD episode she had while she ran away from the house because she said we didn't love her anymore. our grandma is an abusive maniac who screams at us until we're in tears, and holds keeping our pet rabbit over our head. she has caused us so much pain, and even has invited our dad who sent us to a mental hospital to our graduation. our grandpa is a qanon psychopath(so is our grandma) who keeps trying to convert us back into christianity.

this place has broken our mind over 400 times, and we want out so so so so so so bad
