Word on the street is that the release date of the next DGM chapter is undetermined, which means there may be another hiatus.

I just want to say, preemptively, please don’t be angry with Hoshino if there’s a hiatus. I can understand why people would be upset with this development, but we don’t know what exactly is causing this delay–it could be something totally beyond her control, like her health (which we know has been a huge problem in the past), or some kind of bureaucratic issue with her editor or the publisher.

Regardless of why this delay has come about, just remember that we’re not inherently entitled to her work. And I know it’s incredibly frustrating considering how much waiting this fandom has done and continues to do, but insulting or otherwise demeaning Hoshino because of a hiatus is not helpful, even if she never sees those remarks. It generates negative energy in a fandom that has been, otherwise, fairly free of that!

So yeah, this situation is not ideal and it’s totally fair to feel frustrated or upset, but let’s not direct those feelings at the artist!

Everyone please try to chill out, I’m sure right now Hoshino is feeling the pressure even without reading any of the things people have been saying. D.Gray-Man’s release has been rather spotty, prior to the three year hiatus the release schedule skipped months (despite being monthly at the time) and even before that hit ‘n’ miss part there was a several month long hiatus. I think as a fandom we’ve become renowned for our patience :,D It’s sad that this is suddenly sprung on us at a time when we’re all so excited to see what happens next, but I don’t think Hoshino takes pleasure in making us wait either. In an environment where we’re used to instant gratification, it is even more frustrating to wait, but D.Gray-Man will return eventually! Until that time, enjoy the animes, the new merchandise, there’s a great DGM RP community on tumblr and ofc even though the BD blogs have slowed down a bit, many are still going! There’s a great fan community over on Deviantart for those who have an account there, celebrating both canon and fan-characters.

Let’s start with the childhood shall we?

- Madarao and Tewaku’s family consisted of them and their mother and father. They were pretty simple people in Germany. Their father was a blacksmith and their mother would sell flowers on the street to just bring in extra money. They weren’t rich, but not exactly poor either.

- They had a small home near the edge of town. It was nice because it mean less noise and they had room for a garden.

- Madarao was 8/9 years old when their house caught on fire, him and Tewaku having been out when it happened. Their parents were caught inside and perished. They had no remaining family. The orphanages nearby were full and run down.

- Madarao took then 4(ish) year old Tewaku and fled, traveling on foot from town to town, eventually ending up in Berlin. They eventually met up with what would be CROW group.

-- The siblings were sleeping in an alleyway when it started raining. They had to run somewhere to find cover, because getting sick when you had no home nor money meant death. They ended up under a covering in the doorway of a church, where Link, Tokusa, Kiredori, and Goushi were. They all bundled together to share heat.
