I carried him up the stairs earlier, because it was about to storm pretty badly. He slept through most of it, and finally when it was quiet, went to use the litterbox. I didnât expect him to come back to my bed, I figured heâd find a place to hide after. Instead a ball of snot, anger, and fur comes flying onto my bed. đ he looks mad but he was insistent I make room for him immediately. I jumped to obey him of course lol.

Found this in my drafts and my description of Cinnamon is cracking me up I have to share it with you guys. Just know that itâs a month old lol. He is currently laying on my lap like this right now though lol
Oh my god, Iâd forgotten I used to tell yâall stories, but this one made me laugh out loud. I have no memory of this.
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Cinnamon last Wednesday, august 25th, after 17 years together. Iâm understandably devastated, but it was sort of expected. The last few months havenât been easy, but Iâm grateful for the time all the same.
Take all the pictures and videos of your pets while you can. They donât make it any easier, but it can bring some comfort. At least it is for me. Itâs nice to be able to hear his purring meow whenever I need it. <3
in honor of the shitshow that was supernatural, tag this with the tv show that had the best ending youâve ever seen, and the tv show that had the worst ending youâve ever seen
obsessed with the car getting to go to heaven but not Cas
they really sent dean to super heaven for being straight and cas to super hell for being gay i could not imagine a more homophobic or hysterical ending I Am Dying
now as you can see the rusty nail is a metaphor for a penis and dean dying by getting stabbed by it is a metaphor for how homosexual activity will damn your soul to hell and hahahaha i cannot go on you get the idea
What the fuck is wrong with y'all and the tweets to misha? Now I remember why I left this godforsaken site. Sayonara.

important for AO3 writers
So a while ago I asked staff at AO3 why it was that I could post a work, update it with chapters, and have it appear no higher than tenth, ever, even with new chapters, on a busy fandom. I finally got an explanation.Â
âIf, however, your work is appearing below works that were already visible, itâs possible youâre running into an issue that occurs when a work is posted between 12:00 AM and 5 AM UTC - works posted during this time frame cause the system to believe the work has had a posting date set manually. (Normally you would do this by ticking âSet a different publication dateâ in the posting form.) This also applies to works that were initially saved as a draft on a date previous to the day they are posted. Works that have been backdated are assigned a default time of day, which may be earlier than the actual time you posted the work.â
So donât post during that time. It just HAPPENS to be between 5 pm and 10 pm Pacific time so posting things after dinner is RIGHT OUT if you happen to live on the west coast of the US. Thatâs between 8 pm and 1 am east coast time.
So until they fix this (and itâs been going on a LONG time, theyâre working on it but itâs a massive code overhaul, apparently) Iâll be posting fics OTHER times. This means if youâre posting a long, multichapter work, posting the first chapter in the evening can screw up the entire rest of your posting. Posting a draft before posting for reals will also keep you from being at the top of the list. And this probably explains why some of my fics have done better than others. What does this look like? Someone posts at, say, 4 in the afternoon my time. I come along and post around 8 pm, which is pretty typical for me, but it gets marked as âset manuallyâ and given a time much earlier in the day, and thus appears behind everything posted that day. So itâs never on top, people start reading down the list, think theyâve seen everything thatâs at the top, and donât poke any farther. So for writers, DO NOT POST BETWEEN 12:00 AM and 5 AM UTC. Google will translate, just plug in 12 am UTC and it will pop up your local time in most places. For readers, realize this exists and that youâre probably missing something. Scroll back if itâs between those hours, and after those hours.Â
And at some point theyâll fix this to something less arcane.
Update and summary of responses reblog:
For those asking if this is real and current, yes, it is real, and yes, it is current as of July 2020. I asked staff:
So if I ever first post a fic in the evening Pacific time, it will forever act as if it were manually posted? And they responded:Â Hi again: That is correct, unfortunately. You will have to manually change the Date Published every time you add a chapter. We appreciate the frustration, but our coders have not found all of the causes of the bug yet, so we canât say when it might be resolved.

For those who suggested âjust date it to the day afterâ⌠that doesnât actually work the way you think it should. I donât remember what happens, but I do know thereâs a *waves hand* thing that makes that not work.
Correcting the date manually does not pop you to the top of the list, even with new chapters. Posting drafts⌠Just donât do it that way. I know, you should be able to use that function in order to have a perfectly crafted lovely work. But if you get everything that can be done done before posting, donât post to draft first, post it, and then proof it, most of the people who see it will see it after you finish. I hate it, too. It helps if you change your font in your word processing program, and then reread, to catch the kind of things that show up after you post. I use Google Docs, and have a tutorial with screenshots describing how to beat Google Docs into submission so that you can paste cleanly into AO3â˛s rich text editor most of the time without too many italics and spacing issues cropping up.
What does this bug mean for posting?
Posting in the hours before the 5-hour no-post window is probably optimal. Posting during that window for a new fic will screw you up forever for that fic. If you ARE posting new chapters for a fic that was initially posted during the 12 am UTC-5 am UTC window and itâs not showing up in the list, consider manually correcting the posting date. This wonât bring you to the top of the list but it will bring you higher than you were in most cases.Â
I believe but donât have proof that it may be possible to check the manual date on one of those already-borked fics and then uncheck it, and then post a new chapter. Someone should see if that helps.Â
What does this bug mean for reading?
If you tend to sort by kudos or bookmarks or whatever, remember that you are relying on the responses of the âread everythingâ crowd, and that the âread everythingâ crowd may have missed chunks of fics that were subject to this bug. That doesnât mean you have an obligation to go stick your face in the firehose of a big fandom, but just⌠be aware.
If you want to know that youâve seen everything in your fandom systematically, go farther back than you think when youâre reloading. This bug can, if Iâm reading things right, bump things down about 19 hours down the list. I may be mathing that wrong, but we donât get hourly timestamps on things, so itâs hard to say. If you go through once a day, youâll probably catch most stuff.Â
DO subscribe to authors, stories, and series.Â
Consider taking some time to look at the âlow hitâ end of the fandom pool. You can filter your results by date range, so this might look like grabbing everything between a week ago and today, for example, and looking for the things that havenât gotten a lot of hits. It should be pretty easy at that point to find the things that got lost in the shuffle.Â
i think a more interesting question than âwhen did you âjoinâ the internetâ is âwhat was the first username you ever usedâ
my very first ever username (that i remember) was HunterKiller75 cause i thought starcraft was the coolest shit in elementary school & hydralisks were my fav unit, and 75 was my fav number
Yikes I did have a deletion to make on Facebook after all. Good thing it's a friend of a friend, so honestly I don't care. I barely knew her anyway.
