I’m not much of a historian but I do have a BA in History and a Minor in Native Studies. This blog is predominantly for fun but I do pretentiously think of it as a sort of digital library for my viewers. Most of what I post will be artifacts and/or art. If I ever make a mistake in one of my posts feel free to point it out!
What to mostly expect to see on my blog.
1. History from the Middle East. Typically Ottoman, Iranian, or Mamluk but you’ll see a few artifacts from other Middle Eastern cultures too.
2. The occasional Byzantine post. I’m a bigger fan of the East Romans(Byzantines) more than the Ancient Romans. In general I prefer history from the Early-Modern period(1400s-1700s). Ancient History intimidates me 😅
3. The Choctaw. I’m partially Choctaw myself so this preference is personal.
4. Oklahoma history. My own backyard kinda history. I live here so I might as well learn about it.
This doesn’t rule out other time periods. I post artwork from every culture and era. I just have my personal preferences. I respect historical study regardless of the flavor! Thank you for viewing my weird little world.
