Bahamut’s wings differ depending on which side you touch if you get to touch them. The inside is soft to the touch, and warm, the multitude of veins running through them to make the powerful limbs operate. As such, in freezing weather, they can be used to warm himself or others. The outer surface of his wings is armored, allowing them to stand up to scratches from creatures that roam the plains of the world.
They are not heavily armored though. Arrowheads and swords can puncture the membrane, and ground him. Creatures up to the size of a large wolf or coeurl can’t do much damage, but a behemoth could shred them. If there is too much damage to his wings, it could take up to a full year for him to heal.
Bahamut’s wingspan is about 24’, 12’ for each wing. Humans require massive wingspans to fly, just as any creature, and though his wings are proportionate for humans, they are overkill. Some of his bones are hollow, primarily those in his chest, where most of his weight is. Despite this he can not carry another human while he is in his human form, it puts too much stress on his muscles and wings.
