“don’t worry babe, i’ll lead.” she laughed as she got into the car. feeling her stomach do back flips after calling him babe. which only frustrated her. “just head down this street.” she pointed, leaving her other hand on the center console, hoping for him to take it.

“you said 8, but i can’t keep waiting in the car anymore. i planned on waiting the other 10 minutes here next to it but, you seem to know very well when i’m around or not.” tomás chuckled, seeing babette come out of her house, him just smiling down at her. “ready to dance?”

“someone has ants in their pants.” she giggled, carefully walking down the stairs, already feeling her heart flutter. it was something she’s only ever felt with him. “i was born ready to dance.” she giggled, getting on her tiptoes pressing her lips to his cheek.

although finding it somewhat funny, bailey’s actions seemed more adorable to tomás than anything else, and frankly, by the time she opened the door and rested her head on his chest, all he could think of was that he felt rather lucky to know she trusted him while impaired like that. “if we dance, you’ll feel ditsy.” the boy advised, and regardless of her wish, taking her into his arms  so she wouldn’t have to walk, even while he did, at least out of that house. “hold on.”

as soon as he just lifted her, her bottom lip stuck out for a pout. that quickly turned to a content smile as she burrowed into his chest with her arms wrapping around his neck. almost instantly she began to feel sleepy in his arms, and it was reflected in her voice. “you smell nice. truculent.” she mumbled. she was practically asleep the whole way. “i do not want to go to my place. may we go to yours?”

“telling you your truths is mean?” tomás said teasingly, chuckling at bailey’s explanation and later little mixup, finding it rather adorable to hear. “bai, it’s me, i’m wiggling the door knob. open up, would ya?” the boy stood there with a smile while he awaited for his crush to come out, rather ready too to get her up in his arms if it were to be needed.

“it’s mean when it is not nice.” she said matter of factually, as if it were the most obvious thing. “one moment please,” she said to the phone, now trying to figure out the best way to get out of the tub in her inebriated state. after fumbling around for a minute or two, she finally made it to the door. as soon as she opened the door she smiled at him and rested her head on his chest, and began to hum. “dance with me.” she held up her arms for him to take her hands to dance.

“and i’m saying you are being stubborn.” he said, his own accent coming through, however, his was more of a normal thing than bailey’s. “what other type of riding is there, miss? also are you on the upstairs or downstairs bathroom? both are locked.” the guy said, trying to turn the knob of one once more. “you’ll see soon what i mean.”

“don’t be mean.” she pouted again. “don’t call me miss, i have to do that to the women i work for. but i’m talking about sex, anyways though, i don’t remember what floor i’m on but the door just sounded wiggly.” she said turning her head to the door to shout, “hi someone is in here, please go away.” turning back to her phone she spoke softly yet again. “do hurry, people are waiting.”

“oh, no. i’m not assuming. i’m certain of it.” and good thing he said it with such firm words, or else, tomás feared bailey would simply say no and sprain her ankle or something later on. “i’m sorry. i’m sure nobody would like you to be wet out in the usual cold. we’re lucky it’s still warm out tonight. i’m also hovering right around the corner. stay put, bae.”

“i’m saying, that is an unfair assumption,” her french accent coming in strong the more the alcohol controlled her system. “if i didn’t want to ride you i would just walk by myself. and now, i know i said ride you, but i surprisingly do not mean it in that way. just to, have you hold me.” she spoke the last part so softly. “hovering?” she questioned, true confusion in her voice.

“i would be mad if you had to jump on my back while all wet,” he disclosed as he picked up the call, though not minding that the homeowner could actually care about leaving the water running or not. the boy flew low, struggling a little to pick up any speed and not plunge to the ground every other time, but there was no faster way. thank goodness for headphones. “stay dry, ok?”

“are you, assuming, that just because i’m drunk, i can’t walk by myself?” she pouted, despite him not being able to see it. her inebriation was clear in her slurred words. still she was able to detect some wind from his end. “fine, i’ll stay dry,” she huffed, before mumbling, “first time a guy’s said that to me.”

bailey fields was sitting in a stranger’s bathtub at 1 in the morning. needless to say, not her finest night. but she had tomás. he wasn’t even with her, but he was being so kind. which was exactly why allowed herself to ring up the young man. as soon as the ringing stopped she giggled. “hi~ i’m really enjoying this bathtub. would they be mad if i turned it on?” // @toothmas
