@bajusz
From Maharashtra I went all the way up up up to Rajasthan and fixed the back of my camera (more or less) which means no light leaks, proper contrast, and beautiful colors. And this guy is not lying, his tea is absolutely beautiful, the best chai I ever had.
That's the last potable b&w photo. It's not that bad after all. I took all of them in Hampi, a peaceful little village with dozens of temples that look like the one above. With ceremonies and elephants and sharp little people who are pushing you and explaining you how to do the rituals.
Most of the b&w material is simply ugly. Some of them good, maybe even better with really low contrast. But most of them are devastated. If I knew it back then I would have thrown the heavy russian crap into the first gutter or just trade it for some shoes at the market. Fortunately enough I did not. I didn't have anything else to take photos with.
The b&w photos have some serious quality problems. My old Zenit camera started falling apart, at some point I lost the shutter button (it just fell out) and had to fix it with a needle and some duct tape. The latter one was eventually useful for fixing light leaks and what not, but first the back just opened up at random intervals. Causing this.
so I went to India
I was gone for a while, I hope you noticed, and in case you were wondering, I went to India. I went to see a girl who ditched me the first day I got there. I was in Mumbai, and the only thing I had was a return flight two months later, and a bus ticket to Goa. And my backpack, my camera, and lots of films. Well, see what happened.
