The god of Gear art strikes again

Saw that Tatsuo Sato passed away. Everyone else is gonna bring up bigger jobs like directing certain shows (I know Nadesico is gonna be the big one in parts of the internet I frequent) so I'm gonna just point out he was the one that did the calligraphy for the Symphogear series such as the title/end cards and Tsubasa's attack cut-ins

There's actually a funny anecdote about the end card for season 1 where they were trying to contact him to get it made and he was out and about in an area with no service, so the animation staff was scrambling practicing calligraphy in case they couldn't get him in time. Satoru Fujimoto even bought a calligraphy set that he ended up using to draw the jacket art for the GX CDs
