My wigs weaves crochet hair was my last dance this year. I use to be made fun of in school for my forehead and because of my features so growing up through high school I went through hairstyles to cover every inch of my forehead and hid behind every hairstyle because of not being comfortable with myself. So December 31,2015 a couple of hours before the ball dropped I taken out my crochet hair and seen my hair was DAMAGED! I was so concerned with the hair that I placed on my head instead of my roots i went to the barbershop and heard God tell me enough is enough and I chopped it all off. This year I will embrace all of me and love my features. I looked back at my old photos of me growing up and saw myself and realized that I wasn’t so bad looking and that I was so hard on myself because of what others saw. If I had the mindset of what I have now I think I would’ve been different but I’m blessed with the journey from where I came from to where I am now because now I hold my head higher then the horizon.
